My problems with ESO LIVE (update 8)

I don't have a problem with the show but some of the information released concerned me. Obviously, a lot of people have a problem with the Champion System and everyone getting 30 outright but thats been talked about a lot so I won't cover that.

Now some of the things you get from the champion points was discussed. This is where my problem is. How is it that those who put in 120 points in the stamina side of the constellation, the shadow, which is used to allude people get a increase in attack speed for heavy attacks in stealth. Which is useful essentially all the time, yet those putting points in the apprentice tree (which is spell damage according to the ESO live), get a what they call a magic well to all party members when an enemy is killed.

Yes I understand you need mana to use abilities but seems like a pretty weak buff compared to an increase in heavy attack speed in stealth. Obviously this will depend on the numbers. That and one of the higher points in crafting is harvesting quicker? lol....is that really the best you could do ZOS?

It just seems some of these higher abilities are meant to sound cool but actually don't really offer anything that would give an advantage over someone who doesn't have the abilities. So whats the point on focusing on one constellation if the top abilities aren't all that useful on top of the already diminishing returns received from having more points in said constellation.

It just seems to me that ZOS wants to keep new players and old players on the same playing ground. So what was the point of playing for us older players if all these advantages go towards new players but not a lot goes to the players who've actually already shown their support and stuck with all the changes.

Also, just a quick suggestion to give back to the players that would have received more than 30 champion points because of the xp they earned (which was suppose to be applied but now is not) transfer that to the enlightened system. So based upon xp earned you will have huge enlightenment built up, as oppose who don't. Since we get diminishing returns based off of champion points this shouldn't effect much. New players will also have enlightenment just won't have as much built up upon release of the new system. This will also mean everyone will start even and even though some of us players might have more enlightenment we will still have to go out and earn those points, and if new players have enlightenment we would all still be balanced.

Anyways I just wanted to create this thread to hopefully get these looked at before this goes live. I like many others feel as if this is the make or break point and after the change with xp not being back tracked I am leaning towards canceling my sub, even though I enjoy ESO better than most MMOs, I'm not going to play an MMO that gives all these advantages to new players while constantly decreasing the effect of its older players.

I'm sure those two examples represent the entirety of a "1600" point CS tree's variety and warrant a short essay about how unfair they are, even before having seen or used them.

Thats why its called a suggestion and feedback. I was expecting this post from some fool. Obviously we can only talk about the information we have....And the entire thing wasn't about just that lol... this guy, pretty pathetic. I guess a constructive post was just to far out of reach for you.

Let me quote something for you since you can't read, "Obviously this will depend on the numbers."

"It just seems some of these higher abilities are meant to sound cool but actually don't really offer anything that would give an advantage over someone who doesn't have the abilities."

    "Also, just a quick suggestion...."

There ya go, that should directly address your post better lol

I was pretty annoyed that they apparently have feedback regarding issues (Low Population Bonus) but rather than post on the forums in a thread where everyone is angry and wanting answers, they answered on a live show where it could be missed.

Yah and the live show is very long, they could easily add markers where certain content is within it, so I don't have to watch 4 of them cracking jokes for 10 minutes lol.

Maybe next year when they're trying to reinvent the end of game content again they'll rip off an idea you like better from a different MMO.

I'm pretty tired and probably shouldn't be even attempting to answer this but it should make for a good laugh or at least an insightful.

I'm not exactly sure about the two passives your talking about and have no way of helping you with that but I can help with the other question.

When ZOS balances the champion system (haha I made a funny) then yes new players should only be slightly behind existing ones. It's not that they don't want seasoned players to feel like they are getting screwed though.

Basically when a new player enters an MMO that is established and see all these high level players they feel like they will never catch up. High level players are also so far advanced that they can really only compete with each other. So by closing the gap between fresh players and existing players they are giving new ones hope and potential to get to where the higher ones are while also giving higher level players new players to enjoy. It's kind of a win win type of thing.

So someone who's been playing longer will still have better stats, gear, skills ect ect but the new players won't feel like they are so far behind that they wanna give up before even trying to play. That's why ZOS was even talking about the gear seasons being sold after each season. So you can raid and get te best gear possible, a new player can get an older set and not be as far behind, and everyone can still play with anyone.

I'm tired and I hope that made sense (it did in my head) if not I apologize and I'll try to find the extra credits video tomorrow that explains it better.

I understood haha. And i get that approach, but they can take that system to far. And already getting close to taking it to far. If there isn't decent progression people are going to stick around. I thought my enlightenment idea would go to remedy some of that situation without really increasing the gap, since you would still have to play for those points.

Thank you for an actual constructive post by the way.
