This game is good. I played beta like many and didn't enjoy the clunky feel of the game but thought it was immersive and (again like many) decided to wait. Then I saw the reviews and decided not to bother if it would ruin how I feel about the Elder scrolls games (I've been playing them for 15 years, and the last 3 have been my favorite games of their generation) and the lore behind them.
With the price drop I could not help myself and I dove in with low expectations, which to my surprise have been surpassed. I'm very into the world and the quests are much better than I was led to believe by reviewers. Along with standard MMO grinding quests (which I don't actually hate most of the time) the pace gets broken up often enough to make it feel like a different game than I'm used to in this genre and most importantly like an Elder Scrolls game.
I know a lot of work has been done on the game, but some of the reviews I read when it came out had criticisms I really don't understand. Complaining that it's too MMO like when it's an MMO is just ridiculous.
I'm posting this to show that I support the game now and am looking forward to new content and zones, and I'm going to try and get some friends to join me. Am I brown nosing? Maybe, but I've made it clear why. I feel bad for the devs because I don't feel the game deserves its current reputation.
