Destroying your own alliances resource towers 2014/12/31

When did this become a thing?

Used to be, you wanted to make sure you had it so the mage would protect the ground dwellers. Plus, it gave defenders a spot to hide and regroup. Personally, I liked to stand up by the mage and support the defenders with heals until allies arrived. Or maybe meatbag from the top level.

Now, apparently, its better to nuke the tower down to the ground and prevent enemies from using it to turtle.

Should @ZoS_BrianWheeler and crew just remove them all together?

This is becuase the majority of players are not capable of stopping the tower farms and have resorted to this kind of tactic to end it. It is much harder for a group to hide and protect a resource without the tower to fall back into.

Mage still spawns even when tower is down. Towers are a liability, because of tower farming.

Serves almost no purpose surrounding a keep your faction owns.

To stop tower farming for sure but remove as well so noon can attack your keep with ballista or treb.

TBH it be nice if the resources where further out from the keeps so that defending them might become some option.

Please god! Dont let that 1 ballista take down my wall. FFS if someone wants to use 1 ballista to take down a wall; let them.

Also, if you don't go into the tower..... THEY CAN'T FARM .... What a magical thing that is.

Mage still spawns on a destroyed tower.

Aside from the zergball tactic, some towers are close enough to siege the keep from.

Towers are only useful for small group defenders where rushing in won't create an AP farm.

If you have a large group, knock the tower down before capping the flag. Same thing if they start sieging from atop the tower.

Glad to see people finally found an easier way to deal with tower farming, cause lets face it, its hard not opening doors lately.

Plus solves a problem where people would stacked up sheath in a tower, then when tower is capture come out and behold resouce ap, attacking ap and plenty of people to farm.

Really people who do this tactic need to get the farmer tax break in the states

if they had mages inside the tower, this wouldn't be an issue. Now, it's a farming location.

Wouldn't matter. 1 player can solo a resource so they can solo guards in the tower also.

Pretty sure that if they dont have their perch, they dont spawn. No spawn point. Like the tower I was at, with walls at 5% this morning, there was no mage, only two guards.

Don't need no NPC's to protect Us .... Don't need anyone to remove them . It's not even a issue . Let people do what ever works best . Options in game are your friend .

Actually if you use the tower correctly you can get 2 or 3 ballista on there to do it faster

Immovable, Defensive Posture. Dodge roll and sprint up to the top.

Only a few will chase you up there if that, they're mostly waiting for the train to come through the door! Once you're safely on top just go down to the upper level where you can see the ground floor and spam AoEs, CCs, Ultimates... (My personal choice, Blazing Spears and Novas).

It's not difficult to spoil a Tower Farm.

Enemy tower farms are so nice AP. Yummy. Just get up to the top, place oils so hit the bottom floor, spam wall of elements + ultimates and profit. Usually 24*300 = 7,2k AP in about 4 minutes.

Honestly if you know a bunch of people are hiding in there waiting to AP farm, I say tear it down just to spite them.

Lol, true. It might be effective ap farming, but it guess it hardly counts as good sportsmanship. Frankly, it bugs me more that often they don't even care about the resource. Or the keep. People are just there to farm. For that alone, I kind of which I could just light it on fire and let them all burn.

I just go in, roll, mist form .. WoE bats/banner .. Party is over.

Yeah I just don't have vampirism but it is a lot easier to get passed people with it.

I Always wish we could just build a wall, an indestructible one. Would seal that tower up from top to bottom and fart trough the keyhole! /stuck inc!!!

Mist form is incredibly useful and very under looked.

If we had siege ladders and hooks, it would be much easier to fight this.

Course, waiting in stealth for the enemies to come out(if your group has the patience) works just fine
