Master Wizard with lvl 25... how is that even possible?

Hi there!

Just got back from my last Eyevea rodeo with my latest Char. She's a Lvl 25 Fire/Soul Mage (Dark Elf, Sorc). And well, Master Wizard, Arch-Mage:

screenshot_20141231_0c5sjf.jpg

I don't even know how I did it except for having a huge amount of luck. But the main question stays the same: How is that even possible? Got three Vet chars and with none of them, I was able to do that. Not because of a lack of skill but because I didn't get access to the dedicated quests before I reached a minimum lvl.

Someone an answer? I'd really appreciate it.

Dungeon scaling for solo instances made it doable for you, it seems to me.

Well, doesn't explain why I had to fight lvl 43 mobs. Not to me, actually.

So somehow you were able to get the quests granted earlier than they are intended? I haven't run a new character since the change. Perhaps they relaxed the level requirement to access the quest? It may still be a level 43 (at lowest) but maybe they grant it at level 25? Either that or some bug or unintended effect granted it to you earlier than intended.

Yes, the mobs are lvl 43. Doable with that low lvl, but pretty hard fights (wich I really appreciate). I do tend to believe scaling has it's fingers in it but I'm not certain.

both the sorcerers and the dragonight in elder scrolls online is still way over powered. nothing new to see here, just the same old strong Love and persistance of zenimax to Not equaly balance the classes.

    Nah, not really.
Besides that this isn't the usual "Hey I'm soo OP" self-praising thread, I think I should mention that that char has state-of-the-art blue/ purple equip, wears three sets including rings and amulet of the warlock, uses the best buff food and poitions you can get for the lvl. And that it took me a real deal of patience, power of endurance and many, many tries to accomplish this.
So, no OP. Just luck, very good equip and maybe skill.

my comment stands as is for truth. you can try to twist and alter and change it and put in all kinds of words but the fact still remains that sorcerers and dragonights are over powered and ahead of the other classes in both damage output and survivability in elderscrolls online. i wont be commenting any further to this thread because i have said all that i wanted to, and spoke truth.

Last quest from Mages Guild available when you reach Mages Guild`s level 5. So, i guess, you found many lore books, and your Mages Guild`s level >5.

I've done this lower level on DK and Sorc, I've also done it at the same level on NB and Temp. Your "truth" has no bearing on this topic. Not saying you're wrong just that it has no bearing here.

It's too easy. It has been too easy since PTS before launch with the exception of a few difficult fights where OMG you actually had to pay attention to mechanics! Of course those were nerfed before launch and then every thing else has been made easier over and over again. So it should be no surprise that standard content is Too easy for many people.
    V14 - IMPERIAL NIGHTBLADE - DPS/TANK
    V13 - BRETON SORCERER - HEALS/DPS
    V2 - REDGUARD DRAGONKNIGHT - MELEE DPS
    V1 - BRETON TEMPLAR - TANK/DPS

to be continued... Nevermind, no longer "to be continued"

This is my understanding of how it works as well. There is no character level gate for this quest line. Only a mages guild level gate you will reach quickly if you search out the books and use skills in that line. I noticed on alts even if the quests show at character level in the journal the mobs don't scale down to that level. Before level scaling it was easier to tell the character level these quests were designed for because it was a fixed number.

Edit: And congratulations for reaching master wizard at level 25!

Hm, never saw if from that perspective. And tbh, never thought of it that way. Will have an eye on it.

Yeah, it's Dungeon scaling that allows you to get the quests. For me, they were scaling to whatever level the character performing them was, following the release of 1.5. Prior to 1.5 they were set at specific levels. I don't recall if the NPC levels changed though because I usually did them as one of the first quests in the new region, rather than following them and my characters are always at a higher level.

How are sorcerers op? I want a detailed explanation.

No. Sorcerers can only beat template in dps. Templars. The healing class. They are out dps'ed by both NB and DKs. Most of our class skills are useless. Idk if some sorc beat u in pvp and now u think they are op but they aren't in any way.

Sorcs do have their advantages and they do have their negative sides. But they are not OP. As no class is.

And this is not the thread to discuss that matter. At all.

I just rolled a new Templar and I can tell you for a fact that it's much more powerful and a better player than my first Imperial DK when I started the game. Knowledge of the game mechanics, creating blue or purple level crafted sets, knowing how to use potions and food, and a host of other buffs can certainly allow someone to finish the Mages Guild questline at level 25. Not because they are just some overpowered Sorc or DK :)

And congrats to the OP for doing so!
