A question about dance emotes

I have searched the forums for this. I have googled for this. All to no avail.

Is it possible for female characters to do the male dance emotes?

Many of the lists of emotes out there are way out of date and don't include the ones that were added later.

No one in my guild is sure either.

I seem to recall that when they introduced the ability for us all to do other races dances they also introduced the ability to do the dance for the other gender - maybe they changed it before it went live though?

I can understand that it might not be possible because of bodyshape but I remember seeing that you could do it by typing something like /danceredguardmale etc. I can't get it to work in game though.

Any enlightenment on this subject would be very gratefully received before my guild have another dance party on New Years Eve.

I wasn't even aware that the dances were different by gender. xD

Let's just say that the "male" Redguard dance involves a lot of hip and booty shaking, can't imagine what the female version would be like.

The added dance emotes commands were race based and no gender options. They were the following:

• /dancebreton
• /dancealtmer
• /danceargonian
• /dancebosmer
• /dancedunmer
• /danceimperial
• /dancekhajiit
• /dancenord
• /danceorc
• /danceredguard
• /dancehighelf
• /dancewoodelf
• /dancedarkelf

There are several add-on including my that list the current emotes. ESOTheater can be found at http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info59-ESOTheater.html. TiEmote Extended by Khrill from Rosie's version is nice too.

Yes the Redguard male dance is basically Twerking and I want to make a female Miley Cyrus and see her twerk.

PS: I don't really but it is funny that they are gender locked.

Yes please @ZOS_GinaBruno‌ make it so that my female character can do the male redguard dance! We want to show Daggerfall our but.. I mean moves!!!

It is possible to use the male based dances on female char if you use polymorphs.

I'm cool friend. I asked a question like you did! and i really wanted to know if i did something i shouldn't do because i was the one that added a comment that brought it back. (Sorry i just logged after playing only 10 days after game launch. I'm new and i don't know how all the things work, thats why asked.)

I do this! But it only seems to allow female characters to perform male dances. I put on a polymorph and get to dancing. Then, with the aid of —I *think*— the No Spin addon, go back and take off the polymorph while still dancing. BOOM! My ladies are dancing like the fellas!
