It's been close since our initial comeback at the start of this round of voting in which we overcame a significant deficit of 40 points. ✭✭✭✭✭I still lol every time I remember DDO knocked off STO in the first round.
By every single metric, including the f2p models they use, STO is the superior game.
DDO is just plain bad, always had been, because they screwed everything up when they switched it to the f2p model. Literally all content gated by money or the worst "currency" grind you ever seen.
I am shocked LOTRO even made it to the semifinals much less is beating eve handily. Its just as bad as DDO, not surprising considering they are from the same company.
Turbine is like the worst of the worst for F2P grinders.
Also, how the hell is the secret world even considered a newbie, that game has been out for quite a while. They chose the 32 they wanted in the contest and put the 16 "newest" in the newbie category. I think Rift was the oldest one of that group.
I think Scarlet Blade and League of Angels should have been in that group... kidding, kidding
