Templar Changes in 1.6

It's nice to see the change to Blinding Flashes, even though that's not what my first choice would be to remove, but I'd like to hear some more about the upcoming Templar Changes. The class still has quite a few absolutely horrible abilities. Instead of posting more suggestions, I'm simply going to go through what is worthless and what isn't:

Aedric Spear:

Biting Jabs: It's a relatively weak morph compared to how amazing Puncturing Sweep is for leveling and questing.

Piercing Javelin: There's literally no reason to ever use this ability. Both morphs are weak, with the knockdown especially terrible.

Focused Charge: Another ability that has no value whatsoever. It is buggy, weird, and too situational for a class that has a tree dedicated to one thing which is what restoring light is.

Luminous Shards: Weak Morph, magicka return too low, ticks should persist even when synergy activated. It should have the same chance to proc Burning Light

Radiant Ward: Again a weak Morph, needs higher strength defensively and damage on activation should scale off number of enemy targets nearby. Or be a purely defensive morph stronger than currently.

Radial Sweep: Empowering is fine for tank utility, but if the damage reduction currently doesn't bypass the flat 50% cap, then it should. I am unclear, sometimes it does, others it doesn't. Crescent Sweep doesn't do enough damage to be worth considering mathematically in essentially every situation. Same with Radial.

Burning Light: RNG on RNG with RNG to crit. Burning Light would function better as a flat Critical strike modifier on all attacks. AKA: Your critical strikes deal 10/20% more damage as magic damage. (Base crit modifier is 150%. This would put Templars at 10/20% but dealt as magic damage regardless of damage source. Does not scale off spell power. Factor figured ahead of Shadow Stone (Shadow Stone would buff Burning Light.)) Seal of Casino sucked in WoW and no surprise: It sucks in ESO. Especially since it's tied to a single Morph of a single ability (Blazing Spear.)

Dawn's Wrath:

Sun Fire: Direct damage too low. DoT duration has poor synergy with Backlash. Projectile Animation speed is HORRIBLE.

Solar Flare: Cast time kills DPS potential. Dark Flare doesn't provide enough for the skill point. Solar Barrage has a GCD that kills it. "Selfish Debuff" stinks. Projectile Animation speed is HORRIBLE.

Backlash: Cast time kills DPS potential. Cap of one per target kills ability in PVE. All-in-all, this ability needs, perhaps above all other Templar abilities, removed and completely redesigned. Debuff-per-target cap, damage cap negates critical strike, scales poorly off stats, and has essentially zero synergy with the rest of the tree or the reality of combat in ESO (hard cast time, damage held back.)

Eclipse: Very niche, barely useful in many situations. Doesn't work on many things it should, is essentially an idiot check if you have immovable up in PVP. Again, as I said before, why does a class with an entire tree dedicated to a single non-dps role sacrifice an active ability slot for utility? It you want utility, put CC in for Templars.

Blinding Light: Being removed.

Nova: Way, way, way too expensive. More damage or less cost. Solar Prison is a relatively weak morph, all things considered, since it provides essentially nothing to the Templar him or herself. Solar Disturbance lacks usefulness because of how Empowering Sweep was buffed, making it the de facto Templar Tanking Ultimate.

Restoring Light:

Rushed Ceremony: Putting the game's only ranged burst heal on a single class is somewhat stupid. Why not let other classes be strong healers? Steadfast Ward is weak.

Healing Ritual: I personally don't use it, but I guess it has its places. It is weaker than an instant cast though...........

Radiant Aura: Morph is too weak. It's used by Stamina-based DPS, not healers generally. Spear Shards is more powerful as group support.

Cleansing Ritual and Rune Focus are fine.

Focused Healing: This is synergy within a tree done right. Kudos.
