Do you think that ZOS should give higher-level VR characters more Champion Points?

Yes, give the extra Champion Points to the people that put in the effort to get to a higher vet level.

This is a game , you play for fun . it's not a job in a factory ... ( grinding it's always like a boring job for me).
I think if zos give 30 cp per account it's mostly for testing purpose ( xp per cp player earn , balancing stuff ...)

the only mistake they made is to tell " we track the xp for the cp system" and i'm sure some grind like mad only for the purpose of beating the others player like " lolol111 !!! i'm rocks you with my 600 cp build ! nooobzz" ...

" grinding it's always like a boring job for me" <= And what do you think WE, the people playing since day one, the people who have been subbed non stop to this game, the most dedicated players of the game, are going to have to do in order to get more Champion points?

Most of our characters are VR14 with most if not all quests done. The only thing left for us is grind to get Champion points, when people (prolly like you) who aren't VR14, only have to quest & explore to get Champion points. So people are raging because new players will have an advantage over old players regarding Champion points earnings. How the f* is that logical?

you play like a complesionist grinder( i see your sign with timer on AA stuff) and you acuse me of not playing like you . You can be "dedicated" to a game with different style of play ( RP, PVP, high end dungeon grinder, complesionist , crafting...) and be a part of this game .

What you want is just an edge against others players because "i play like this and this way normally give me superiority on others" , in fact i dont care if you have 0 to 600 CP at the launch of the 1.6 but i think it's better for the game to have a low CP at the launch.

maybe they can give 1 CP per VR on the account , this put the max to 102 pts.

I think that would be a good Idea, that way averybody will be happy, no more argue-ing about those 30 points rule. the forum would be a lot more fun to read

I like the fact that @Castle (forum mod) voted no. Way to go @ZOS! :D

Ah, but the votes in this poll are the opinions of the people who gave them, and in no way represent the opinions of ZOS or it's affliates.

Or whatever it is they say before they let you see the directors/casts comments in the extras on DVDs.

A vr14 with a dedicated armor set already has a distinct advantage over a fresh vr1 wearing pug gear so as long as the cp gap isn't more than that (which is huge) it should be good to go.

But why do we have that? We playing active and invest time and effort to get that stuff. We worked for it. The VR1 just larifari played the game abit and gets 30 free points.

We on the other hands would have earned what, 100+ points easily since the announcement back in october. But we get subtracted.

Here, just so you guys understand:

VR14 : More Time spent ingame, more effort put in the character, most likely completed majority of the game, Completed and farmed trials for gear etc, etc...

So its just right that the person who started 2 weeks prior to 1.6 and gets 1 char up to VR1 gets the same amount yea? This player didnt have earned 1 single CP period. Yet he gets 30 free points. (which is okay)
But therfor the VR14s should get more. Because read above. We progressed further. Thats the thing. We earned the right to be ahead!

IDK why you(yay, we are lazy and get free stuff)people dont get that. Sorry but this topic really makes me angry. Especially after Zenimax lied to our faces month ago.

No, everyone should have the same amount of Champion Points even if V14s have to grind for it.

I will change my vote to Yes if they bring back the 14400 CP instead of the 3600 they thought was more appropriate after internal testing.

If we want ZOS to keep their word even if it goes against feedback they received and the results of testing, then they should keep EVERYTHING as originally stated, whether it's workable or not.

I don't care about that, be fine, BUT doesn't really make the fact the "changed" the amount fair. If they reduced the points to 25% of what it was, then that same rate should just apply to what they were going to give players. That's not reason to not give v14s more than v1s.

What we really need to know is if they plan on some further point work coming with vet ranks are removed.

    That is indeed the question.

The thing is, right now, there is a gap (real or perceived) between V1 and V14 that would only be exacerbated if V14s got more CP than V1s while still keeping their VR.

You see it when people feel they have to be V14 to be effective in PvP, or that they can't get a pledge group if they are not V12+, never mind a trial.

I'm curious to see what is going to happen once we are all Level 50 and whether people will be able to tell how many CP another player has.

A game announces that it will increase the level cap by 5 levels, from 50 to 55, in three months.

Three months later, are the level 50s complaining that they weren't automatically made level 55? No.

Stop treating this situation like it's any different. It doesn't matter what was said back in October, devs slip incorrect information all the time, and things get changed, that's just how the gaming world works. Always has, always will.

The v14s should be thankful that they're getting points for free at all. I honestly think it would be better to start everyone, regardless of level, at zero champion points.

Your accomplishments prior to an expansion don't matter at all once the expansion is released - everyone ends up starting over at the same spot again.

Maybe you should instead focus on the fact that v14s, with their superior stats and gear, will be able to accumulate additional points much more quickly than a v1.

We don't even know what they'll do once the VR ranks are removed; I suspect that they will actually give some extra champion points for that. The idea that people both keep VR ranks and get massive CP rewards (so that their characters get weaker once VR ranks are removed: brilliant idea there!) in a transition period is astonishingly foolish.

The people just raging for the sake of raging aren't thinking this through, at all.

    Stage 3 - introduce CPs
Stage 4 - remove VR ranks

The time for worrying about VR 14 vs VR 1 is stage 4, not stage 3....and the nature of the relative rewards depends on precisely how they handle the transition! How can we know whether a VR 14 needs more than a VR 1 until we know how their relative strengths are changed in the Stage 4 transition?

Real question should have been: Do you think ZOS should keep their promise & award Champion Points according to the XP they said they where tracking?

Those who put in the effort should reap the rewards. Those who want the rewards should look to those who have it with envy and strive to achieve the same.

As far as the xp tracking... I heard a rumor that it was being saved on a backup server for some IRS emails... ;)
