Provisioning Hireling - Raw Materials?

I have two toons with a provisioning hireling. About two weeks ago, one of them started sending mails with the subject "Raw Materials." The other still sends mail with the subject "Getting Groceries." Just seems like a bit of weirdness, and a curiosity. How does the mail subject change, but only for one character's hireling?

standard rant: This is game breaking and I can't believe how I am supposed to continue to play, how am I supposed to organize my in game mail when the subjects aren't properly listed. This is the final straw that will cause me to unsub unless the issue is immediately fixed, and I get a Shetland Pony.

About that standard rant - it was sarcasm.

I think the Shetland Pony will be no problem, but the mailsubject?? idk man, that's kind a hard to change, don't you think?

While the poster seems to have snorted to much hay. There is something that could be said better. With the lack of bank space, us crafter/hoarders with our hirelings would like that fixed. My provision mule is just to mule all provisions was easier to see them and unmail them onto the right mule.

Crazy as that sounds it works and the some say groceries and some do not is a shame. Because they did before, someone in programming failed at their job. They should fix their error.

Would be nice if hireling mail would list as
    Groceries
    Enchanter supplies
    Black smithing
    Woodworking supplies
    Clothing materials

I don't care what they call the darned mail - this one just needs salt badly! I haven't seen salt in a hireling mail for ages.

I recently started leveling my alts hirelings and the mail has been so random lately. Sometimes i get 3 at a time per character, sometimes its a big fat goose egg.

I thought it was hireling mail every 12 hours (after last sign in), but now i have no clue what's going on....

I don't have much time to play during the week, but i like to sign in before work every morning to check mail and start research etc... The last week or so the mail has just been so erratic.

Get a Dartmoor Pony instead, about the same size, and moor friendly.

You need Salt?, I have almost two stacks of the stuff.

Back to the OP, yes, the Provisioning Hireling should say Groceries

Really, I find it quite often, Red Wheat too.

Tomatoes on the other hand I only see on the guild vendors.

This one encourages wenxue to visit dewmer ruins. Wenxue will find salt and pepper, lots of water and maybe a Dwemer page.

This one also finds salt in other tombs. It is less disturbing than finding beef...

You can collect the mails from any character, you just need to log in as the relevant character to generate the mail in the first place.

No, its not suppose to come in until that character is logged on. I logged a different character and it came to that character. I never see mails to my blacksmither on my provisioner and vise verser.

There might be some weirdness, as I did not get my Enchanter Hireling mail this morning, but the same character got their blacksmithing email.

What I meant is that the mail is generated when you log in with that character, but any character can collect it.

What I was presuming happened is either you had been playing with the correct character earlier (even if you a few seconds) or you had missed a mail from the previous day (presuming you haven't got it on twice a day).

If it was generated by logging in with a different character, first check you haven't got that hireling with the other character, and if you haven't, then submit a bug report, because something will be malfunctioning.

Im pretty certain that the non-provisioner generated the mail - I got the "ding" and it was there. But I have been wrong before and you may be correct in what actually happened - I will see if it happens again before I submit a ticket.

Well if you got the audio "Ding" then it was generated by that alt, sounds like a new bug to watch out for. Oh joy

And why can't I cook the fish I catch?
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

It's simple: The original set of mails from Gavin (I think) Gavonne were named "Getting Groceries". After his story ends, you start getting them from Nonette and these newer ones have been dubbed "Raw Materials", probably to be more consistent with the other hirelings.

If you are getting both versions, the char that gets "Getting Groceries" mails hasn't employed hirelings as long and is still on the first of currently two stories.
