Under What Conditions Will an Emperor Be Dethroned?

Under what conditions will an Emperor be dethroned? I know that if there is an existing Emperor/Empress and an opposing Alliance meets the requirements (capturing keeps around the Imperial city), then the qualifying player for that Alliance is crowned. I am also aware that an existing Emperor can give up the throne. But are there any other circumstances?

Mujuro✭✭✭✭AFAIK, short of the emperor abdicating (changing home server), the only way is for the opposing factions to take all the keeps around the Imperial City. So long as the current emperor's faction holds onto any one of them, there's no change in emperor status.
