Any way to unlink armor appearance, from material level?

There are a lot of styles I would like to use but cant because the material is too high, so I have to add wings... and gems... to everything apparently.
Is there a way to make the lower level styles for a higher level character? Or is this something being worked on? Any information on this?

✭✭✭✭I totally agree. Actually I would like to see each "improved" style as an option, not a necessity, so if you go up as a crafter you "could" decorate the heck out of stuff you make, but don't have to.
I'd like to see it work a little like a style book; gives you options and you choose among them, so I could make a jute item that was orc style and 42nd level if that's what the (bosmer) character wanted to 'wear'.
Of course on that note, I really dislike most of the bosmer armor choices anyway.Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

✭Thank you, Wolf! I'd been grousing about this for ages, and ages and ages. Well....the game hasn't been out that long but it *feels* like it when it comes to that issue.
I just hated the way my Dunmeri gals would have to turn all conservative (meaning all their more carefully selected bits covered) with the big put-some-damned-clothes-on-woman! coming at level 26.
Plus I loved the way you delivered it, as opposed to chiding Emencie for not doing a forum search first before posting
