While we are at it, how about making it so terrain behind you is tranparent or invisible when your in third person so you don't constantly get your view obstructed by tree branches and leave that aren't even in front of you.
A lot things were HASHED a long time ago. That does not mean they are correct or dead. If the camera can be centered by zooming all the way out then the function is there to center it when not zoomed out. All the OP is asking for is a switch to allow that.
I think it is a valid request and it would enhance my playing also.

And all I'm saying is they have stated, more than once, that it is a design decision.
OK so there is a de facto limit to the number of times someone can bring up a topic. Wow I did not know that and I stand corrected then. Even if a decision is crapy as long long as it has been brought up multiple times it is considered done. OK just checking.

And we're saying design decisions aren't set in stone. Let it go! If someone wants to voice their opinion on the subject they are allowed to do so and don't need the fanboi brigade coming in telling then to bugger off.

Fanboi brigade? Dude... you need to read my post history a bit more closely.

You're right I shouldn't have said brigade. It's just you arguing against it based on two words as if those two words were the word of God himself and immutable. As for stalking your post history, I suspect that's something you're prone to do to others. Not my cup of tea.
Now, on topic, the over the shoulder view bugged the hell out of me when I first started playing in Beta but I have learned to deal with it for the most part. I am, however, fully on the side of the argument that it should be a user setting that we can change.
I didn't say or imply that. I just said they have repeatedly stated it's a design decision.

It's no different than many other in-game settings which allow users to change from a default to some other value because they prefer it that way.
