I really can't see the real utility for this set. Is anyone using this set? If so, wich skills are you using?

I am a DK, but i can't find any class skill with a cast time or being channeled...

Thx in advance.

Edit: sorry, for those who doesn't know the set, it gives as a 5th bonus a 25% damage reduction while channeling a skill or casting it.

The Light of Cyrodiil set is only useful for the 2-4 piece bonuses and due to the easily obtainable purple VR14 Arcane rings associated with it. I just wish their was a necklace for the set, alas there isn't.

The set is more for Lancelot-Templars and maybe Mages casting their main 1,3 second cast time DD. It just suits a handful of specs / mitigation builds (5% race, 5% set bonus, etc.).
It is very special and I'd wouldn't recomend it, exept you are a real lance-lover spamming biting jabs all the time (there're enough players doing so).
Since it doesn't work with 99% of weapon skills, I'd only use it if one of my spam-skills has a cast time..

No, because it is instant cast. Basically, this set works for any skill/spell that has a cast time or has to be channeled, like the Vampire skill Invigorating Drain.

The Soulshine Set also has the same effect. I found this forum post about it. Maybe it will give you some more information.

Ok thx dharbert. Then is totally trash for a DK. Sad because those rings are great. I usually try to equip a full second set toying with jewelry.

Lots of players run 2 rings, it's one of my setups. Most people drop warlock for them.

Not all Skills with cast time are channels. Skills that have a cast time but cant be interuppted arent channeled skills, jabs or ambush for example. The Set doesnt work on these skills.
