What should happen to Champion gear?

For Zenimax:
When Veteran ranks will be removed, what is going to happen to Veteran equipment? Are the stats going to get nerfed to level 50 accordingly, or are they going to keep their stats?

If they bring them all down to 50, I wonder what they're going to do with crafting passives.

Actually, I think the gear has to be nerfed. Wouldn't v14 gear be in the soft-cap zone for level 50s?

Keep the gear.

Higher VR items should be the equivalent of a higher "season" of gear. Same level but better stats, which seems to be what Zenimax wants to do with any upcoming top tier items.
