Levelling Fighters Guild

I'm now a V2 player, but my Fighters Guild skill line has just reached 9. I'm trying to level it to 10 so that I can use the Dawnbreaker Ultimate... and this is proving to be quite tricky.

I no longer have Fighters Guild quests to complete (at least, it seems you cannot redo these in Cadwell's Silver), the Guild bounty quests in Cyrodiil don't actually level the skill line, and it seems I receive 1 single point for each Daedra/undead I kill - whether it's a level 15 Banekin or a V5 Harvester from Hell.

So... I have to kill 1600 Daedra to level this skill line from 9 to 10? As that correct, or am I missing something? Where is the best place to do this really tedious grinding? Dolmens are so sporadic, but I always try and close them when they are up.... what other options are there?

Elite kills count towards your fighters guild level as well. Find an area with easy elites (trolls or something)

Go to a delve or other area in coldharbor and kill Daedric/undead mobs that are level 45 or above for it to count. It doesn't matter if the mob is level 45 or VR10, you only get one point. Fighters Guild levels increase by number of kills, not XP gained.

Yeah, sounds like I will need to do this. Sigh, I was so looking forward to getting to know Cyrodiil, but my build NEEDS Dawnbreaker.... so back to Coldharbour it is.

Also, do Dolmens. They'll give more Fg XP.

Just level up and do Dolmens, your PvP build likely NEEDS V14 as well.

I believe if you use a skill constantly from the Fighters Guild ie Silver bolts it helps as well. Im VR 1 and using Silver leash all the time since Ive been in Cold Harbour and Ive gone up almost two levels in the Fighters Guild. Im almost at 10 as well

This is interesting... I've been using Camo Hunter pretty consistently and it has NOT increased the Fighters Guild level at all - so far only killing a Daedra/undead has raised it for me, and nly by 1 each time. I will try slotting Silver bolts to see if it makes a difference.

Fighters Guild only increases by number of undead/Daedric kills. No skill is going to change that. If the next level says 800, then you have to kill 800 undead/Daedric mobs.

I'm sure I don't quite understand. I thought that, like the Mages Guild, the game kept track of the Undead/Daedra you'd killed and added them even if you joined late. Guess I was wrong.

I am not saying that you are wrong but I read somewhere that you get extra for the named Daedric generals that appear sometimes at Dolmens and that you also get fighter XP for each dolmen that you do so if the OP hasn't done them all that is another way to get XP. Don't forget there are a bunch in Cyrodill.

PS: Don't forget Dolmens have a routine so you can just go from one to the next in a zone completing them again and again until you get that zones generals.
