Block and Casting.
You know, that mechanic of the game you use to get a huge damage received reduction on your char while spamming instant skills.
If you have a self heal/health shield skill on your bar..
Congrats! You officially became a pro in this game and remember to say you are invincible only because of your skill!

"Hey, but this game isn't designed for 1 vs 1 pvp battles.. It's fair people with shields can wreck 2-3 people alone and have +50% health at the end of the fight"

Well.. You know.. You can break CCs... And not everyone's a nightblade or want to slot a stupid undaunted skill that works only with synergy right?

Ah! You tought a mighty warrior with shields would use stamina skills? Maybe to close the gap they use an invasion, but notice that after that they use only magicka skills if they know what they're doing.

Invasion. And not everyone use ranged weapons and even with a ranged weapon you do little damage.. Especially if the block and caster can reflect projectiles
(I'm not saying DKs are OP and I don't want to discuss about this class if it's possible.. It tends to get messy when someone talk about them lol

This is true, technically. But block and casting is effective only on builds specialized for it. Notice that specialized doesn't necessarily mean "studied".
As I said, you just have to put some instant cast skills in your bar, a skill for healing and/or a skill for a health shield, then you're done.
Stamina users can't block and cast since they would run out of resources.

Ok, I'm gonna be honest. I don't do PVE anymore and I've never tried to do a Trial.
I'm just not interesed...
About Trials, I saw some videos and stuff, but meh, they all look like big dungeons in which people try to get as much damage as possible and count only who has got the biggest.. staff.
Anyway, back on subject. We already have a buff that we get only in Cyrodiil.. I can't see why this buff couldn't include some changes to the
skills or combat mechanics, for example... ..Reduction of damage you deal while blocking!

You can DPS as much as a damage dealer while being invincible right now.
If the block and caster would just be invicible and try to get the attention of the enemies while the other people of his alliance do the major part in dealing damage, I'd be fine with this.
But ZOS is like "NOPE!"
Now.. I can't say an exact % of damage reduced if the mechanic I tought would be in game.. But if it was for me, I'd start with a 30% of damage reduced if you are block and casting with a shield, 50% if you are using another weapon, since the shield is specialized in blocking and, if we want to be honest, block and casting doesn't make sense except for this one, since you have a weapon in a hand and a shield in the other.
