Bringing Brothers up

Its been 8 months in.
And i have to say..i've enjoy the game.

Currently, there is a ...mindset going around.
That I'll call.."Noobs"

Where... its... become status quo to call out L2P.
And to use.. lets say..exciting language...for players that don't.. "meet the cut"

This is a far call. from when i was a noob...
and my thoughtful brothers at NM (thanks Hova). Watched over me.
and schooled me...they were patient and insightful.


We were all New, once.


Two things:

1. Understand--- we are all learning.
2. School your brother (if you see something wrong with his/her play)

lets stop, criticizing ...and do something about the game.
make it better for all, and including all...

Agreed.
Although I feel like there is a far cry between what we see on the forums, and what we encounter in game. People actually in the game are generally much nicer than the jaded goth kids on these forums.

Yeah good luck to all new players. I don´t think there is a tendency to drive you away from having fun. Some fresh blood in the ranks or spilled on the ground is a welcome sight in Cyro.

I was one of the few lucky one's who met an avid AvA player while going through vet content. He took several hours to explain AvA, what each siege did and how to use it effectively. Plus many other things like staying with crown, don't get farmed by oil parties or resource parties. I return the favor by helping new players as well.

Id love to teach new/existing players, problem is, said players I want to teach are in other groups that wont teach them or at least school them properly.

I'd also like to add that yelling at people in zone chat accomplishes nothing . People are behind the keyboard . Just regular people most of the time . Not everyone is L33T or knows what's going on . Some are casual players and there's nothing wrong with that .

If you want a positive result then treat people like people an not your personal servants that get a tongue lashing just because something's not happening g the way you would like it .

Direction with a little human compassion goes a long way ...

This so much this. Thing to remember is you are dealing with public enmasse playing an MMO and chatting in zone is the equivalent of talking to everyone on a crowded street that will speak their mind without fear of physical retribution.

Some pro or some some noob for that matter says "L2P" big *** woop! maybe their cat just vomited on their bed, their girl friend had cheated on them with the postman etc etc or maybe they are just a tool plain and simple that you would otherwise have nothing to do with IRL so why does their opinion matter?

constructive criticism is great, some really can't take it though. straight criticism isn't great but at the end of the day does it really matter?

@OP I wish more people were like you. Also, I'm sad you are not AD, which desperately needs more people like you.

Maybe some folks grew up being disrespected and liking it and then being surprised whenever they disrespected someone who didn't like it. ?

People who incite or demean others just for the sake of it, which happens too often in anonymous online settings, have mental/psychological issues that unless somehow overcome will doubtless cause much sorrow in their own lives and others.

Normal, healthy people like to be treated respectfully and they treat others likewise. It isn't rocket science.
