DISCLAIMER: This is not a rage-quit thread. This is just a collection of some issues that have been accumulating and I think should be addressed quickly, since judging from the forum posts lately player's patience has been wearing thin.

[PvE/PvP] The most serious balancing issues need to be fixed. We already got heal debuff stacking fixed, and apparently Reflective Scales is being fixed in the near future. Still, you see a large number of PvP players running as Dragonknights and/or using bows, which indicates these classes/weapons are overpowered. Templars are rare, and Sorcerers are simply glorified Impulse spammers and Negaters. As for PvE, Sorcerers lag behind other classes in sustained damage - you need just the right gear and a good amount of skill to be of use in end-game raids.

[PvP] Lag. Lag, lag, lag. ZOS has (again) reduced the population threshold for Cyrodiil, but that's running away from the problem instead of fixing it. There have been times when the population was higher and there wasn't as much lag. Review the skill animations/computations and bring down their resource-intensiveness if necessary.

[PvE/PvP] Buffs. I understand why they're in the game, but the practice is appallingly bad. Every faction controls at least one campaign and won't let anything happen to it in order to keep their buffs. There is no PvP going on in a number of campaigns because of this. People set their buff campaigns as home, then often PvP in other campaigns strategically. Lose the buffs, lose guesting in other campaigns (i.e. switch campaigns only when they're over).

[PvP] Low-pop bonus needs to be addressed. Regardless of whether it's needed to maintain interest of lower-populated factions, it's become crystal clear that the bonus is badly implemented. The new record is now +1480/hour, which is 4x what any faction actually playing could ever hope to get.

[PvE/PvP] Loading screens. Still getting long or infinite loading screens (by infinite I mean longer than 5 minutes, at which point I just alt-f4 out of the game and relog) both in PvP and in PvE areas.

[PvE/PvP] Crafting. Enchanting, Alchemy and Provisioning are doing very well, but it's almost pointless to max out the other crafts. Crafted sets don't reflect the actual skill required. Many people are running with 3- or 4-trait sets, and in my experience the only 8-trait set that gets any use is Arena. 8-trait sets need to be appealing and on par with end-game dropped sets. If access to top crafted gear needs to be restricted, make new crafted sets that require farming veteran dungeons or trials for special materials, but make sure those sets are at least as good as the best dropped sets.

[PvE/PvP] Revise the crafting writs. Provisioning writs take ridiculously few materials compared to crafting writs. I use 50-100 materials per crafting writ, as opposed to a couple of plants, runes or food mats. I'm often out of crafting mats, and the gold reward/surveys are largely insufficient to make writs profitable. I'm near the 250 writs needed for the achievement and can't see any reason to keep doing them after that.

[PvE/PvP] Miscellaneous bugs in quests, map markers, skills, etc. that haven't been fixed since launch (it's been 8 months now). The most glaring ones that come to mind are in PvP: skills bug out and require a relog; doors won't work and require a relog; siege weapons are unusable after being placed; Empire Tower is an "undiscoverable" map marker; etc.

Update 6 is around the corner with new content (Champion and Justice systems). I hope after that ZOS take a step back and start fine-tuning what's already in the game instead of rushing to the next content update.

Thank you for this helpful summary of issues that need to be addressed. I second the notion that these problems need to be addressed to bring more stability and balance to the game.

"Gripes" is a good way to put it. I think that many people have been patient with ZOS, but these things need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

I especially endorse and encourage attention to the last point in the thread: fix Cyrodil.
