Ahhhhhhh yeah!!! Let's get it going with another thread about how ESO isn't running at full capacity less than 1 year in. You guys tell ZoS how it is... Given that you're all well qualified game designers and that you've both built and played an mmo exactly like ESO that worked perfectly in 8 months.

if you think its normal for a game we paid box price + 8x15 monthly subscription, to not be able to do anything when more than 30 people are at the same place... ok then
we are customers and expect a service of zos wich we pay monthly for, and they're not delivering

so its not really helping I guess

Oh really? They don't constantly update the game? Add new content at kind of a breakneck pace compared to other games. You, know, they also didn't invite 20 or so of the most influential players to have a little pow-wow on how to improve the game... Man it would be cool if they did that. Gosh, to think, with all the moving parts, I must have been hallucinating all those times when I partook in Zerg v zerg combat and the game didn't crash. lol yeah, definitly didn't happen ever. Jeez... An man... To think we have to wait until NEXT year for the champion system.. 1 whole year!?!? Are you serious!?!? Yeah... A gosh, I hate it when ever pvp is smooth, cause there's definitely not a plethora of other content to explore. I wish we had a way to play with out friends in some sort of... Ugh, can't think of the word... Some sort of trying, dungeon like area we could test our skills and team work in a variety of situations, yeah, that would be awesome if this game has that. And it really sucks that you can only have one character too, sometimes I'd just like to start over but play a different style character. It breaks my heart that you can't do that in this game... Well, I have to start wrapping stuff up at work... So sarcastic rant over. Also, I need like 2 awesomes so if I could get those that would be great.

yes they add new content regularry (although a single vet dung, or that one patch wich had only dyes and guild improvements, isn't what I would call 'who what a sh*tload of new content') but most patches only made pvp worse, especially the lighting patch, owy and those updated facial animations of 100's of quests, wich every player already did and so will never see, very frakkin usefull.
and yes I do dung to, and thats about it pve wise, since I finished cadwells gold with 2 char allready, and I'm more interested in pvp now, some people only want to play pvp, what are you gonna say to them....? "hang in there guys, I know you cant do [snip], lagg out and crash constanly, but just keep throwing your money at em, in a year or so it might be better..."

    Take that back! >:)

I've actually been hoping they introduce something akin to Huttball, but ESO lore friendly. A team effort where kill count is not the most important. Is there anything better?

I don't count bug fixes, and fixes for their previous fixes and fixes for them or nerfing and buffing, as updates.

Yes, they do a great job at releasing new content, but it comes at such a price that seven of my friends flat refuse to even talk about the game anymore.

The entire game should have been postponed until it could be released with the upcoming justice system, other guilds, and all the other major updates, that should have been in the game to begin with.

The epic siege battles as seen in the adds, back of the box, youtube, are now a fantasy. If we would have known it would come down to three large groups per faction in pvp, would anyone have bought the game for pvp? Probably not.

That leaves pve, in my opinion, it suffers just as bad. From bad grouping to content difficulty curve (forced grouping), to the lack of most of the basic pve core mechanics of an ES game, is enough to make us stay, but at the same time makes us wonder if it's now worth it.

It started out 500 500 500, that is the last official word I heard from ZOS, I see people throwing out lower numbers now is there a link where ZOS says those are the numbers or are we just speculating here, I would like to know the facts, I know the forums is hard to get those sometimes :)

Could ZOS run a simulation and show what would happen if there was only 1 PvP campaign and all the players could get in?

I assume a server would meltdown or something. Still it would be funny.

Better yet, turn on collision for players and have them stand side by side is there enough space to do this?

    Yes, I quoted myself . . .

Okay building upon my initial idea (which I realize is a bit absurd to begin with) . . . I think ZOS should try the experiment I outlined above, build server that can handle it lag free and then use that server template to create individual servers for each campaign. Maybe that would ensure things run smoother?

That would work if the server was to blame. What if it's a code for communication between client and server that is causing these problems?

I thought I was doing my part to help reduce lag by staying out of Cyrodiil. I can't keep seeing my faction get run down by the red bat-pulse zergball (my gods, the bats. I was going to start hearing that sound in my sleep if I didnt stop playing). And following ZoS's lead, performance should increase the fewer people play, right?

But no, the lag has followed me into dungeons and once into upper Crag. Maybe it's me. Maybe if I leave the game altogether it will be better for all of you.
Or maybe it would just be better for me.
Agreed, if they are going to have lower population caps, then they need to open up more campaigns, and maybe battleground style mini PVP as well.

    Oh really?

    Ugh I stopped right there.

ZOS made claims their PVP game wouldn't lag, they said their game couldn't lag, it didn't need EU servers and lag wouldn't be an issue because of how they built the game.

Peak time, game lags so bad most nights over the last 3 weeks I've just logged off and questioned why I'm paying them money. It shouldn't be taking 20 seconds for a skill to fire.

People like you are the reason publishing houses think they can get away with pushing out patches and games before they are ready, they just simply know people like you will keep lapping it up.

ZOS said the PVP game wouldn't lag. It lags. It's as simple as that, EVERYthing else you've said is is totally unrelated.

Um, I don't want to complain, well actually I do, but I've got a genuine reason, I DIDN'T SAY THAT.

You've got my name, and part of Jacques Berges@ post, and you seem to be responding to what Jacques said.

    Please please correct this.

...or you could have just sent a simple fast PM and the whole thing would have gone away and no one would ever have known.

They could just remove the crappy exploit/bot monitoring DRM they put in in 1.2, before which lag, weapon swapping, effects culling, sound culling, and abilities not firing were far less of a problem. The bots are gone. You appeased the masses of rage choked pitchfork wielding villagers who are... also now gone. Can we have our game back now?

PvP feels even more empty than it used to with this change. Also, the mods are going to move this to the alliance war section soon, just so we can preach to choir some more instead everyone seeing that PvP needs way more work than PvE, while PvE and console version is all they seem to care about

We'd really need a solid cc immunity/diminishing return system for stuff like Huttball to work. With the current state of the game it would be DKs jumping and chain rooting all over the place. We'd probably see even more DKs than now out in Cyrodiil.

So they found a "threshold" that if pop goes over, it causes the lag. So they reduced pop lock to fall below said threshold. Lag persists? Seem so. I was hopeful that this would be a good temporary fix. Ultimately I want large scales battles as marketed but willing to -temporarily- see pops reduced to deal with it in the meantime. But I don't want to see 10v10v10 either.

I want to have faith... I really do, but does anyone over there have a clue? It's like going to the doctor for a flu shot and coming out missing a leg.

Would just like to see a little less of these way out in left field issues and a little more normalcy and as they rush out new content it seems to bring out more really funky issues.
