Sometimes you don't even need to use a wayshrine or die to get a loadscreen. Repair a keep? Loadscreen. Running through Cyrodiil? Loadscreen.
Comparing to random other games is a fruitless exercise that completely ignores the pros and cons that for example engines like the ones used for the GTA/RDR and TES games.I hoestly dont believe ZOS needed to put in all these loading screens in the first place. Thats a problem i have always had with any game made by Bethesda and Zenimax(at least the ones iv played)
just think about it... there are games made nowadays where you can enter buuildings/entire new zones without even ONE loading screen. examples:
Grand theft auto; far as i know, only loading screens are for starting missions.
Red dead redemption; no loading screens except for starting missions and multiplayer matches
WoW; no loading screens save for entering dungeons and to an entire new continent,
heck even old games from early 2000s had little-no loading screens... i dont recall ever seeing a loading screen in Final fantasy X....
Personally, I don't have issues with loading screens, but I used to have them shortly after launch. A guild mate, though, always comes in last when we enter Cyrodiil or a dungeon as a group. What I and him think to be positively correlated with the duration of loading screens is the number of add-ons that are used. Basically, it seems to us that the more add-ons you have installed, and the more heavy weight are among them, the longer it takes to load the UI.
I suppose this sounds like a lame suggestion, but have you tried to cut down on the add-ons a bit? And if so, did this show any effect?
How about when the second screen is the one that gets you? You finally get logged back in, past the loading screen and into your home gate. You think life is good and you can get back to playing. You make happy noises in TS. You go to the transitus and pick a destination, spend 3 min in a loading screen then get kicked back to the login screen with a message saying "an error has occurred".
That's even more rage inducing because it gets my hopes up first. Psychological warfare.

and.... just around the corner is the champion system, which will introduce many many more bugs (probably, unfortunately)
