Agreed. They've almost never released the patch notes before the day. You can even check through the patch notes forum and see that almost every time, they are released during the NA maintenance, about 30 minutes before the server comes back up. Not having the full patch notes in advance is fine; a brief sentence would suffice.@Kraven we know regular maintenance is weekly. What we would like is a bit more information in advance regarding what is happening during that maintenance. How dare they have regularly scheduled maintenance!!!!? At the same time weekly!? The audacity!
For example: Today we are releasing Patch 1.5.7, which mainly contains bug fixes. This should be around 500 MB, and we expect this maintenance to last approximately 3 hours. or Today's maintenance is a server reset with no patch to download. We expect this maintenance to last 1 hour.
Perhaps you missed it. 1.5.2 -1.5.3 - 1.5.4 - 1.5.5 patch notes all went out the day in advance. And that's with 30 seconds of actually looking instead of making speculations and assumptions based on fiction in order to have something to complain about.
Of course I must be mistaken, since it must be a fact that they "almost never released patch notes before the day." just because you said so.
The Elder Scrolls Online v1.5.7 is an incremental patch that addresses issues with Trials leaderboards, the Grouping Tools performance, the ability Lethal Arrow stacking with itself, and more. This patch will be approximately 90MB.
Browsing through forum posts in the section shows that they released patch notes during content updates on Wednesdays or Thursdays for big Friday patches, and Friday's for some big Monday patches. I do know that they have released patch notes on Sundays, for some Monday incremental patch implementations because I've seen them. That being said, small patches don't justify the risk of disappointment in implementation if the patch notes are incorrect or unverified.

Nope, nope. Forget that the patch notes are time stamped. Forget your facts! I denounce all logic and facts and replace it with my own speculation and falsity because I can! That makes my fiction undeniable truth!

You cannot excuse the fact that in general, ZOS is appalling at communicating. It's only by continually informing ZOS what we would like feedback on, that we will get that feedback.

Patch notes can be written in advance and made visible during maintenance. You cannot go by the date on the discussion.
They are usually, almost exclusively, made public during the NA maintenance.
I know this because on patch days I always closely monitor the forum so I can get the patch notes as soon as they are posted.
