1.6 Mega Awesome or Mega bugfest

So 1.6 is bringing the Justice System, Champion System, Combat Animation changes, Armor Stat changes, Provisioning revamp, Class skills revamp, and some new pvp skills. Plus more changes that are not major enough to state.

So this is great and ESO is another step closer to being a even better game but with great changes comes plenty of bugs. So what do you think about the changes and what kind of bugs will you think come crawling out after this huge update?

Why can't it be an awesome bugfest?

I don't care about 1.6 anyway. I am excited for 1.6.7....That is gonna be sweet.

(This is in response to the title not the thread itself.)

Well, bugs are just part of mmo's. It is frustrating, but atleast ZoS is waiting till after the holidays to push the major update

However, to your question, I'm willing to bet they will re-break weapon swap, various class abilities (like NB cloak/stealth), maybe writs and pledges will have loot table issues... probably loot table issues in general... Oh, and I'm willing to bet FPS will take a hit and we all know there will-be-lag.

However, I bet by the end of next year this game is going to be amazing. I can only imagine, if 1.6 is any indication, what the next 12 months are going to bring!

I'm just wanting the rubberbanding and lag to stop.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

But then you might bet me in PVP. Rubberbanding is the only way I can kill DK's in PVP at the moment.

As it proven before after every patch Cyrodiil are getting bugfest. So I vote both, PvE will be awesome but PVP will get new bugs.

PvE is a bugfest after every patch too.

I stand with "why not both?"

You know they gonna mess up 1.6.[0-5] badly.
You know they more or less will get it right in a couple of weeks after.

But I still wish they would skip those bug ridden "live.beta" periods every major patch now forces on us...

Just your run of the mill mega fest :) With the poor testing they do I am sure it will be buggy and they will get it worked out, I am not worried about it, just looking forward to getting more things in game, I have tested games on test servers that were very polished, when it went live all kinds of bugs came out of the wood works, that were not on test, digital world, nature of the beast..:)

I'd just like to take a moment to point out how the bow animation changes from a couple months ago went. As us gulible dupes should remember, the animation change caused bow atks to desync with health bars and only register once your health was 0 for a whole month.

And don't forget the staff animation change which was initially supposed to be an improvement to make staff postures 'more upright and confident', until they caved and reverted to the old animations after all the outcry. Then it became an 'unintended change'.

Yeah, I have total confidence the 1.6 animation overhaul will be 'epic'.

I am really looking forward to this update. The inevitable bugs *could* be minimal/quickly addressed.

    This is optimistic :)

The animation is all related to the combat revamp that they are doing.

I understand that but at this stage a combat revamp IMO should not have any priority over the bugs and broken mechanics that are still present from previous patches that require fixing.

And facial animations should be huh? Combat animation changes still better then that.

I didn't say anything about facial animations, IMO this also should have been put on the back burner until bugs and broken mechanics from previous patches and updates were fixed.

To me these types of fluff content updates are not things that one are going to bring in new customers and two are going to keep paying customers happy when other more pressing issues that you are losing these customers to are left unfixed.

Well, actually first feeling about game player receive from how it looks, especially combat thing, at this stage its on kind of robot style, any player will be bored with that combat animations we have now just in a week, but while there will be good looking playing + more effective PvP videos about it around web, it will call for new players into ESO, so they are working on right thing atm, but i didnt said that they must ignore bugs, i think they are able to do both at the same time.

I played SWG for almost 10 years and Vanguard for as long as it existed, so i am immune to bugs these days. And yes, there will be bugs/exploits and other annoyances. But that comes with the territory called MMO.

Many (all actually) of my friends quit the game already. Luckily i am in 5 (PvP) guilds who are still active so i never get bored. I think all the changes they will introduce like justice system will make the game more interesting. In the end TESO will be a good mmo and one i don't have to worry they will pull the plug anytime soon. IMHO they just released the game to early and i wish they would wait another 2 years but i guess they needed money now to develop any further.

I do play less because i have less time and i need to play SWTOR's new expansion. But i will continue to support, bugs or not. (thats what test server is for and bug report).

So far Zenimax has proved they listen to community and change / overhaul entire systems. I did not approve the veteran system (aka play enemy content) and start in main city instead of noob isle, but the majority wanted it so they got it. I think the state of the game will be awesome within a few years.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."
