Since PVP is dead, why not make the non vet NPCs lower than lvl v5?

PvP is dead or almost. Make the non vet NPCs lower level please, I am not sure why this change has not been made. They are the same level as the vet campaign NPCs.

Other than for bow users (lol), the NPCs in cyrodiil are like bosses in the world and very hard to kill one.

    I've made the same suggestion to ZoS a few times, and recently posted about my most common bb experience in another thread:

    Maybe they were trying to kill off the non vet PvP a little before the death of all PvP.

    So a non vet campaign with vet NPCs. Where you run for days to get possibly two shotted by an NPC.
    Three buff campaigns, one for each alliance.
    One dying campaign, where the ones who stayed playing the game can compete.

    Why not just have one campaign for everyone then?

    It really is starting to seem as though this company is not killing PvP on purpose, but at least encouraging it.

    No, the non sorcs must bow down to their sorc betters. Negate is the only way to keep those vet npcs from killing everyone. You just have to bring enough sorcs to chain neegates constantly so the npcs are always negated. ;)

    There are not enough players playing non vet, let alone enough sorcs. It is a solution that does not apply.

    I actually came to like it. Capture of keep and even resource matters, precisely because it's so hard to flip it back. Three resources, cut off keep, that is something, among other things because keep and guards will eventually lose defense levels. Defense of keep/resource, even if outnumbered, does not feel like defense of any arbitrary empty spot on map, because unlike on vet campaigns, noobs can't just rush in (there come in play poor stats; one can not spam skills indefinitely and also people with 2K health die to siege engines more readily). And, as a bonus, state of map is to a degree conserved during off hours. One can log off to get some sleep; VR5 honor guards will stay vigilant and look after the empire.

    the non-vet campaign is ironically, the funnest campaign to play, BECAUSE of the VR5 guards:D

    Nightcapping is almost non-existent in BB because the guards are so powerful. When your alliance captures a keep, it feels SO MUCH more rewarding than if you had done it on lagblade. You wont be capturing keeps in 5 minutes, you will have to actually fight for them.

    Also, everyones stats are almost on an exact equal level, and as such, cant just spam the same ability over and over again(though perma blocking is still a huge issue) so fights feel more about actual skill than about who can spam what the best.

    now, if only the guards did not respawn behind you during the siege....

    I have different opinions than most of you, I guess.

    I we figuring since the big drop of in subs after the six months pre paid time was up, all the posts saying PvP is dying, q's dropping from 100+ down to 3, and overall a lot less participation it seems, after making a new char and checking my ranking after getting a little AP.

    I also didn't figure people liked the v5 gaurds and the challenges they present.

    I did however know what the spell Absorption Field does Mr. Teargrants troll.

    Maybe everyone is trolling me lol. Oh well, ignore this thread.

    We have been submitting this as a bug and asking for this change since the non-vet campaign came out.


    This can happen in a matter of seconds. I had a full team spamming heals but with less skills and passives unlocked and about 1000 less health than vet players, this is not survivable.

    It used to be that the vr5 guards could hold a resource against a whole party in non-vet, at least until the advent of snipe, scales and stacking lethal arrow heal debuff. Now 1 DK can solo a resource, clearing enough guards to jump on flag before they respawn.

    Yet still no one wants to admit that the combo is overpowered. Guess the guards need to L2P.

    Archers are OP as hell, but as I said, I came to like strong guards, archers included. Besides, archers fail miserably against DKs and some of them can be cheesed: archers.png

    EDIT: as a side note, that death recap is markedly similar to what you get in vet campaigns these days.

    I took a break and played BWB awhile. At first I hated that the guards where high level but then I really started to like it. The play experience is very different from a normal server and I appreciated that.
