Can't agree with this more. People want controllers so bad that they don't stop to think how much of a handicap controllers are vs. mouse and keyboard.

First of all Xpadder is work that we shouldn't have to do. Second, there isn't any reason we can't use the same interface that the XBox uses. If Dragon Age inquisition can manage to figure out that you have a controller plugged in and automatically provides the controller UI there isn't any reason ESO can't.SleepingGenius wrote: »When the console versions come out, could you guys please bring over whatever brilliant way you guys decide to map the controller. I doubt this will be possible.
"It's also important to note that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of ESO are not just ports of the PC/Mac game. We have completely replaced the PC user interface with a console-specific UI designed from the ground-up with a controller and a living room play experience in mind. We've also added voice chat and full integration with XBL and PSN. Expect to see lots of news about our console versions in early 2015."

We shouldn't need an 18 minute video, a third party software that we have to pay for, and a profile that can be negated by single patch from ZOS. What should get is the same frickin thing that the XBox players get. It would be nice as a simple thank you for those of us that have been paying for the game and supporting them while they do all this work for the consoles. Just saying. This is a simple video to show how to use a controller while playing on PC... although I wished it was easier but this is how to do it, right now...

I used to think so, until I started playing Skryim with my 360 controller.

Noway lol..
If I and a friend main tanked and healed all end game content in RIFT we can survive ESO.. This game has nothing like the end game mechanics of RIFT. One mistake in raid ment a wipe.
Few of us use Xpadder for ESO and have no problems at all. I swear some of you people act like we are playing a FPS lol

I used to think so, until I started playing Skryim with my 360 controller.
But ironically I found this in the reverse. After playing for two years on Skyrim and nearly a decade of other Elder Scrolls games before that on the Xbox and 360, I got Skyrim on the PC, and frankly, mouse and keyboard felt more natural to me and much stronger and faster than a controller did.

Pretty much why I didn't even give a response. Some people make such ridiculous assumptions without any experience. My Xpadder layout is very immersive, and there is no handicap at all. Unless you wanted to use some macros. I could have added a third utility hotkey, but I don't want to use macros. Seems like I wouldn't be playing.
Hey there folks,
We're currently looking to add controller support to the PC game, including the same UI as console, but that won't be available until after console launch.

As much as I despise controllers, I'm happy to hear that more options are being investigated.Hey there folks,
We're currently looking to add controller support to the PC game, including the same UI as console, but that won't be available until after console launch.

@ZOS_GaryA, one quick question: by "PC" do you mean both Windows and Mac OS?Hey there folks,
We're currently looking to add controller support to the PC game, including the same UI as console, but that won't be available until after console launch.
