Ive used the name since my early Dungeons and Dragons days (yes pen and paper) in the early 90s. My first female character, level 14 Fighter, the leader of house Dionysis (intentionally spelled differently to set it apart from the real life greek god)

Other various incarnations in casual F2P gaming, but those are the main six games I have played over the last 15 years. I am the original Rylana =D

Sidenote - all of my characters in my sig are recycled names of characters I have played in one or more of the five MMOs previous to this, most are old pen and paper chars as well, why make new names for every game, right?)

Agrippa_Invisus

I was born Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa in November of the year referred to as 64 BCE.

It's been some derivation of "Agrippa" as my sobriquet ever since.

My nightblades name was just the first two names from the dunmer name list that sounded neat together. My dragon knight is the nb'so name spelled backwards but same last name. The characters also look identical. I'm not very creative

Toosk was the name of my Morrowind character(also a Nord), and I added a kenning as a surname to make it more Norse...errhmm Nord.

Scamandros

In Lotro I was prevented from being promoted out of training camp for the monster guild I was in. This was 100% due to the fact I used an orc called "JustLetMeLoveYou" and my raid leaders despised having to call this out in voice comms.

Needless to say I have learnt my lesson this time around.

Armitas

I have used Armitas since I started playing Lotro. When I was writing the story for my character I chose the name based on the word Armistice. My character vowed to fight to end all war.

Pancake-Tragedy

My character's name, Pancake Tragedy, came from events so bad that I vowed to never speak of again. It comes from a dark place and always holds a special meaning in my heart.

Junipus

My NB's name comes from the little place in my head that's still 14 and immature.
My Templar healer is a variation of Florence Nightingale.
The other two are something vaguely lore friendly for their respective races.

Rooty

Rooty has been my primary name in the virtual world for 10 years or so. Alt names in the past have been inspired Robert Jordan's work, but in this game I decided to modify Rooty with Japanese honorifics since ESO allows the use of hyphens and I'm moderately fascinated with anime and Japanese culture.

I tend to create new names for every game I play, though in rare occurences I may use a single player name in an MMO or vice versa, but so far none of my SWG, STO, Neocron2 or Rift character names have been used in ESO.

While my names are not necessarily lore-friendly (as in they're not a proper altmer or dunmer name), I tend to use names which can fit in the circumstances. Out of 10 chars I only have one with a fun name, and that one I still need to level, slacking a lot on that one, but has been to cyro once in a while

Muizer

My main PvP character for now is called Liane the Wayfarer. It's the name of a fictional character from Jack Vance's "Dying Earth" tales. I'm leveling another in PvE, called Guyal of Sfere. My third character I've created as an ode to EsO itself. She's called Manymacro

hahahaha you were on my deathcap once with your NB.
I told my friends on comms i was partially killed by diabetes

Kartalin

Larinon and Milthalas are names I made up for various D&D adventures I was involved in, while Kartalin was a name I made up for the ESO beta that I felt sounded suitably elvish. Larinyan is my Khajiit version of Larinon, and my last character Miralys is a name I made up for a MUD that I used to play on.

But I just use Kartalin for PVP right now. Eventually Larinon may get into some PVP on Blackwater Blade.

Mine is just a female variant of Ysmir, which is one of Tiber Septim's names. Now I just have to keep working to live up to the name

When the letters are rearranged it makes "I am *insert real name here*", and yes it's inspired from Harry Potter. It WAS going to be my tag I've been using for about 15 years, but my cousin decided to "save it" for me since he had 5-day early access and I had 3....then he didn't play for a month and I CBF starting again.

One of my most used character names in many games is Vipsanius, after Agrippa. He was a fascinating guy in history.

my character names are made soley to make people laugh.

plus my Vr13s name fits so well with how i(try to, lol) play PvP, so i decided to transfer her over to PvP. i always played a sneaky rougeish player in past ES games, and decided to continue doing so in this game, so, for my VR13, i made a name that fit well with me/

and i also give argonian names to my non-argonian characters. why? my characters all had argonian parents:D

Crowfl, I used Crow in Legends of Kesmai, and the FL came from Air Warrior, both were free games offered by AOL back in the day most of you didn't have a computer.

EQ the best, first, and basicly the hardest MMO ever was when I put the 2 together, thus, Crowfl.

Used it in every game since.

My characters name, Althrimir, came from a Skyrim character I had... not sure where I came up with it but I think the rimir part is from either LOTR elven or TES names idk which. As for the others Daemagorn and I just quickly made up... twisted the beginning of demon and added the "gorn" suffix for TES reasons. Asmodeus is just a name of a demon ("king of demons" actually) from legends.

A few years ago I started to (on occasion) do the voice of a British pirate while saying mean/weird/nasty things for the sake of comedy. Referred to myself as Remington James in character once and it stuck.

I have been Columba since Dark Age of Camelot. I chose the name because I played Hibernia, and St Columba brought Christianity back to Britannia in the 600s. I viewed my character as a successor of Columba, bringing the heathens in Britain to heel. Columba means dove in Latin.
