If you type it into the search bar you'll see other people who had the problem and a bunch of different ways to fix it.

over a 1/3 of my transitions end in an alt F4. 1/2 of my travels through a certain part of the city end in Alt F4 as well. In particular there is a point in deshaan. If you head from the city way shrine to the south west to the stairs that go down and then right I enter a loading screen right before you reach the steps. Half the time I never get out of that load screen. There is a place in cold harbor city and even one in spindleclutch (or FG) right where yo have to cross the wood plank bridge being held up by spider webs.

At release I use to plow through houses, steps, and concrete only to have the object load on top of me and make me have to /stuck. Or I would inexplicably fall through bridges and steps. Thankfully that was fixed. All this started for me in 1.5.

Most of those are from earlier months. Thats why i put "There use to be a bug some months ago"

    lol

Yah I wad the fall through bug too and had the long load screens previously, then it got fixed in a patch. But now it seems when exiting dudgeons or instanced areas is when it stops working correctly. Good to know its not just me though. Im on a new computer so I wanted to check before /bug reporting to ZOS.

Infinite? Probably not. Long? Yes- 5 minutes sometimes. ALT-F4 is faster.

There where some recent ones too. I was on my Ipod at the time so couldn't search it for you.

I talked to someone last night who was also having the frequent long loads and he said he experienced this same release bug. There may be some correlation there that was only bandaided between release and 1.5. Even though the prior bug was fixed it seems the game objects have always loaded unusually slow for an SSD. My PC is not bad but even a 0 speed horse is too fast for object loading. I have to stop at the the deshaan point and wait 5 seconds before crossing the line.

    Howdy @Leeric,

A classic age old question, but, do you happen to be running any add-ons? If so, please give a try to disabling your add-ons and reloading the UI. From there, let us know if the performance improves.

If you aren't running any add-ons, can you let us know if there's any particular instance/zone you load into that takes a bit longer? For example, going into delves is fine, but coming back into Auridon always causes problems, etc.

Get 12 people in a Trial group. Go run a Trial. Either complete it or fail, doesn't matter.

Try to travel to player not in group- can get an infinite loading screen.
    OR
Port to a group member to get back to the main trial room. Walk out the door into Craglorn. Infinite loading screen sometimes.

    Also,
You cannot run Trials without addons. How else are we supposed to know when to execute the bosses?

This has happened to me a few times since 1.5 and before that, not since beta. Most recently this morning in Craglorn, somewhere in Belkarth. I wandered off for 10 minutes and came back to the same loading screen. I do not have any add-ons. Never have. So whatever is causing it, it's not the add-ons.

Happens to me 3 or 4 times EVERY session. I don't have to be doing anything particular or in any certain zone. And no, I don't use any addons.

tried that, but it's not the addons. And also as a previous poster mentioned, some addons are absolute musts because of the inadequate UI. So how about you try fixing your game and stop putting the blame on the players who are in large all having the same issue?

I like this game, but I've already told a bunch of guildmates, if these loading screens are still an issue in several months when my current sub ends, I'm not resubbing. These things are incredibly frustrating.

I find the load screens happen more often when I'm porting to a player or even just pressing any key after initiang a port.

It actually happened when I didn't have any add ons. But it was happening when loading dungeons. I can't remember some of the particular ones, but I was collecting sky shards in public dungeons on Cadwell Gold and Silver for EP. On regular spindle clutch I waited for 20 minutes and nothing loaded(i did have add ons during spindle). I didn't get to ask my group if they experienced the same thing. But after i tabbed out and closed the game then restarted they showed as being disconnected from the game. But i can't say for sure if they experienced the same thing or just logged out after completing the dungeon. But more than likely I appeared to me that they had the same issue, even though I can't confirm.

Thank you for the help and quick response.

Also, @‌ers101284b14_ESO I did search. There was one that was recent and it showed from November 11th. The rest came up from April or so. Its all good though. People make multiple posts all the time, at least this one got a quick response so thats good haha.

I have a love/hate relationship with add-ons. They shouldn't be necessary. But they are. And then the game company gets to blame everything that goes wrong on them. And sometimes they are right. But the fact is that the game itself should have a flexible UI that allows me to have as much or as little information as I would like.

I will say this, the most recent patch did something to the loading screens for me. They aren't that long anymore. They still happen but they seem to pass much quicker than before. Keep working on them ZOS!

The infinite loading screen is back HOWEVER I have a fix. Basically you just tab out twice, and on the 3rd try on the same loading screen you give it 20 secs or so and then you're into the game. It's as if the game refreshes/reloads itself when you tab back in, as tabbed out the game doesnt load.

    Try and, it Works.

The "add-on" reason for long loading screens is totally ***.
One day I have no more than a couple seconds for a loading screen - but the next day, the exact same location/loading screen takes two minutes with no changes on my end whatsoever.

Yes however if an addon causes problem replacing it might solve the problem.
Simplest way to check if its an addon is to disable them and see if the problem goes away, if it don't go away its something else.

I sometimes has load screen problems however this tend to be very populated areas in prime time, packed cyrodil campains before 1.5 and elden root afterwards, this can be an bug on top on your loading problems.

I get them coming out of delves and dungeons all the time. I've never sat to see if the screen pulls through, it's normally faster to just restart.

I mean a 10 minute load time is longest I wait before I restart. For me on something that normally takes not even a minute. The only time I wait longer is when I get up to do something else, but I keep an eye on the computer, like when I was in Spindle Clutch.

I haven't had the screen load issue when just going in and out of buildings in a city. It has only happened to me when coming out of a dungeon, (it might happen on quests as well but I haven't done any recently aside from the ones inside instanced dungeons/delves what have you) not going into the dungeon. So when the instance is completed and I walk out of the door, I get the load screen. As someone else has said, when I teleport out(using guild roster) the issue doesn't happen.

Or if a taunt has been applied, or about to expire, or so you don't over taunt and make them immune. Or if your are dps so you can monitor your dots and keep them up.

The games native UI is just insufficient and lacking necessary features. We have to rely on someone elses good will and programing to function well.

Certain things really really need to be in the native UI.
