Rare motives farm(zones)

Hi! so where you farming it, guys?
Primitive(primal), Barbaric, Ancient Elves, Daedric, Imperial
Any ideas? i prefer instant logout and 20+ containers...

i make this map, best place for me right now

    I just checked all houses I entered during leveling, I did also do detours into inns I passed also other container rich locations like the guilds in Mornholm.

    For some reason logout / login don't work then farming dwemer ruins.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Nope. It drops in any zone. I got mine before ever reaching VR levels, and it wasn't in Craglorn. Others have confirmed the same. It's just extremely rare. More people find it in VR zones because that's typically when players start to actively farm for motifs.

    I can confirm this info, my Imperial motif was in the third/fourth area (can't recall which faction). I have been putting my Templar in Imperial Armour for most of the game (I happen to think Imperial Heavy Armour suits a Templar no matter what race).

    Can definitely confirm that Imperial Motif drops in lower level areas.....

    Guildmate found one in a backpack in normal City of Ash(mobs were lvl 46) last night.....

    All I got was a lousy Cloudy Old Epiphany!! :)

    I got a rare motif with my alt before it reached level 20. Ebonhearth. I didnt farm for it, just found it randomly. Confirmed!

    Imperial drops in all zones. Daedric and Ancient Elves drops in your cadwell gold zones.

    Dwemer ruins (farming pages) are on a timer, not based off of logging in or out.

    I haven't really been playing for about a month and I log on last night, spent 10 minutes farming my favorite site, and found a Barbaric motif.

    I farmed the Wayrest bank and castle for days without any luck. Then randomly found a Primal motif during a quest in some house.

    Yeah. Why indeed..

    Vulkhel Guard bank has... 4 trunks, 4 cabinets (if you go in the hall), 3 dressers. I used hit all of them and the bookshelves on my low-level alt when I was looking for all the normals and hoping for a good one. (Still do if I need some mats.) However, with my VR7, I have followed the same routine for.. two weeks(ish)? and not a motif to be found.

    Where is the end game? You just played it.
    Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

    Mournhold in Deshaan is good for farming motifs. The Fighter's Guild and Mage's Guild are right next to each other and each have a lot of containers, they have a circular paths so there's no having to double back, then follow up those two buildings with the Bank right next to them.

    Yes, 15 minute timer. Best way to do it is with 2 characters. Park one at Avanchnzel (The Rift). Park the other at whatever ruin you like, I prefer Aldunz (Stros 'Mkai) because I'm AD and that is my V9 zone (assuming increased drop rate as compared to V1-5).

    Log in with first character, clear ruin. This should take ~15 min to do. Then log in with 2nd character and clear 2nd ruin. rinse and repeat.

    I've found 4 dwemer motifs in a day with this approach.

    EDIT: I should also mention I've found a Daedric and multiple purple recipes while completing the dwemer set.

    Yes got them all, even one spare who I sold, in the two last zones I got nothing but did not check so many places.

    best for me its one main hero in Rift
    second 10 lvl mule it the questing zone for Fighters Guild
    i got like 2-3 motifs per hour

    for now it drops only in your veteran locations, except imperial motif

    Upstairs of the inn in Rawlkha (5th zone AD). At least 15 containers and a bunch of provisioning containers as well.
