Is 12 Ignores Enough for the Forums?

Here in the forums. The game has a lot more than that but these forums are limited to 12 people we can ignore.

I got Spam Bam (esoui link) against spamming. It doesnt use the ignore list so I'd have to really want to ignore more than 12 people. I didn't need that so far.

I only ignored some guy who went into a screaming rage because someone else got some loot he wanted. And another one who couldn't stop capslocking the zonechat in cyrodiil.

So I never had to care about something like an ignore-limit. And why 12?

I never use ignore, I might ignore what someone has wrote, but they might have something to say tomorrow I want to listen to.

You would think 12 would be enough considering how there are a few devs policing these forums that can ban all intentionally rude and inflammatory forum posters that goes against their code of conduct.

Do you really need to ignore that many people? Oh well, I suppose adding a few more spots is harmless enough.

Perhaps an option to ban ourselves from the forums would be more effective than mass ignoring all other posters.

You can ignore ppl on the forums?? I would just... manualy stop reading posts from a specific person... I guess if someone was harassing me with ignorance I could see a need to electronically ignore.

I prefer to utilize my real-life "ignore feature" by actually ignoring people's posts if I don't want to read them. But yes, if you think that lack of willpower is something that you aren't responsible for, I think you might need more ignore slots.

I will never understand why people require some sort of computerized system for something they can do with just a little bit of discipline.

To be fair, sometimes it's a useful feature if you don't want to outright report someone. I had a problem on another forum with a guy who kept sending me messages; they weren't rule-breaking in themselves, but they annoyed me nonetheless, so I just blocked him.

It was spammy, but I guess I just didn't want to bother. The messages were pretty harmless overall.

I have no interest in an ignore function on the forums, and rarely use one in any game.

welll uhhh. I see no real reason why it SHOULD be limited? I don't ignore people, but, I still don't understand why that would be something to limit either.

I'd just like to thank those who passive aggressively responded for displaying the precise reason why 12 ignores is not enough for me. You are the reason why these forums are toxic enough to make people want to quit the game.

Yep, pretty much this.

The only time I use the ignore feature is for spamming/trolling accounts in-game, and that's simply because they clog up the chat feed. If they're simply saying something I don't agree with, I can either ignore them or actually consider their side and provide a counter-argument. But then, that also requires some discipline on my part...

I can't see myself finding reasons for ignoring 50 people, but i just don't see a good reason to limit it to only 12 when lots of people would like more.

Of the people I have ignored for trolling or just consistently being nasty amd disturbed individuals 90% have either been banned or have been gone for over a month. So maybe 12 is plenty for most people if you check the profiles of the people on your ignored list from time to time. If their profile shows a red banned flag its probably safe to remove them. But it would be nice to just have more spots.
