hey
i know a lot of people really support building your own desktop but it doesn't really work for my situation so I'm wondering do i get the 949$ Alienware alpha or I'm i better off spending 1500$ getting the X51?
ill link specs. alpha

X51-http://www.dell.com/ca/p/alienware-x51-r2/pd?oc=dax51r2_bt_s005e&model_id=alienware-x51-r2

What i want is to be able to play eso on high-ultra setting on my 32 inch tv ?

my first choice was the alpha but I'm unsure if the hard drive will bottle neck its performance to much and if I'm already spending 1000 why not spend the extra 500 get something that will last 5 or more years?

My wife plays ESO on an Alienware X51 (pretty much same specs as the one you posted) and it plays flawlessly on full detail, maxed out at 2560x1440. So yeah, it'll handle your TV just fine. =)

Alienware is so overpriced. If you're set on buying something rather than building it yourself, there are plenty of places to get the same (or better) specs for less money. Check out CyberpowerPC, for example. I got a LAPTOP from them that beats the specs on the x51 and cost me less.

You can't compare laptop and desktop-grade hardware. They're as different as night and day. The Alienware X51 isn't badly priced, especially for the form factor. The size of it (a little bigger than an Xbox) is really want makes it stand out.

I totally admit, the Alienware Aurora/Area 51s are ridiculously overpriced and don't make any sense. The X51 isn't too bad, and for the size. There's a lot more that can go into a computer than just the final pricetag.

the x51 size was definitely a key thing for my choice as it has to fit into my tv stand. I'm limited on free space to put a full tower. thanks for your help definitely think ill be going with the x51 now.
