Cant create new character Darkelf in AD!!

I name my character, choose alliance AD, choose role and when I choose Dark Elf
it changes my Alliance to DC.

Is this the only way?

    Unless you have the Explorer Pack, it is not possible.

    The ability to chose any race in any alliance was the pre order bonus.If you just bought the game than yes you will not be able to chose any race in any alliance.

    The dunmer are EP though not DC.

    Yep, you need explorer's pack (still can buy it for a euro or so on several sites, g2a sold the last time I checked, a guildmate used a code from there recently, it was okay), although dark elf is EP not DC.

    you can buy an explorer pack key just so you know. It is 2.99 :D I bought 10 of them for friends :D you just have to do some digging around to find them :D i was advised by a customer service rep of it ^_~

    No problem, it's a very common misconception, and if I had gotten the Imperial edition on preorder I would have made it too.

    Oh and by the way converting an item to imperial style then decconing it doesn't make it drop imperial traits. Just FYI lol. I tried, like hard. Like 20 items lol

    When I was a kid I used to go to a local icerink to skate, and one thing that people may not know about Freddy Mercury is that he was an awesome ice-skater - really good, could have probably done it professionally or in the winter Olympics or something. Anyway I used to see him at my local icerink, and he was really cool and also nice to people and fans :)
