odd effect

Ok here is a question that has been driving me crazy. About 50% of the time when i use my bow I get a green mist around it along with swirling green lines. I can not figure out what is doing this> I thought it could be something with lethal arrow but should not the effects of that display on the mob not my bow? I am a NB in medium amor. My bow is enchanted with Glyph of Absorb Stamina

Is there a constant "swooshing" sound? Similar to an arrow in flight I game.

Me too, but not quite green tho. Got squiggly lines roung me and the bow, accompanied by a weird sound, like skschh-sksch-sprschh. Got fire enchant on the bow.

Ok, I would speculate that it's some sort of animation glitch. This has been ehh... Not an issue, but something that has been present for some time. Doesnt really have any negative affects other than its noise. The noise should be noted, as noise transcends stealth (which it should) and can give your presence away to a more experienced PVPer.

Other than pvp meta, there's no other affect accept minor annoyance if that kinda thing erks you... If its a big issue, I'd say reported, I'm fairly certain it's not intentional.

Had always thought it was some perk with the bow you get if a certain amount of damage done. Only could never see if makes any difference. Don't think it affect stealth though. At least not that I've noticed.

Nope, not a buff, the buff you get from focused aim is similar mark target and backlash, only a different color.

Oh, let me be clear, it, under normal circumstance would not affect stealth. However, if you are stealthed in proximity to another player they will be able to hear you. Usual not a thing to worry about unless said player is very very experienced in stealth based pvp combat (like me, I would know you were close by). This being said, probably a moot point considering you're not likely out to use your bow in Melee....

In short, it's a bug.

I wouldn't worry about the pvp aspect, as it's very unlikely that'll happen. I'm just saying its the bugs one tangible drawback... Besides cosmetics.

No, I can assure you that this happened before the patch that enacted that. Also, the animation for said affect is a green mist lifting from the PC. This affect is similar to magicka flood (warlock set) and the heal from mark target.
