FPS Limiting

I have had trouble with stuttering in this game a lot, so I did a test to limit my fps to 10FPS in an area where I normally get 80+fps and I still got the dips in FPS. It would drop to 10FPS then pop back up to 20 on multiple occasions randomly.

Anyone know why the heck it is doing this?

Getting sick of the stuttering...is it just the badly coded game or what?

Getting the same thing. Just bought a new video card. Will have 90 fps and then it will dip down to 20-40, cause a stutter, and then back up to 80-90. Really irritating. I'd almost rather have a consistent 30-40 fps than this stutter all the time.

Glad I am not alone. So annoying!! Devs have stopped responding to my posts about just the stuttering, it must be the game.

What video card are you running? My card is a Geforce GTX 970.

I saw one guy say that putting his power supply to performance mode instead of power saver helped. Not sure it will but worth a try.

I don't even think the FPS limit works properly but, yeah, it's highly dependent on your video card.

Turning on V-sync helps on my end.

I have a gsync monitor so vsync is moot in my case. I did try vsync on and off on my old monitor and it still stuttered.

I run a Geforce GTX 750 - people always say they get fps spikes, but I'm constantly at 50-100 fps.

Idk what it is but for this game my gpu(780ti) doesn't even get 60+ fps in over zones on ultra. Every other game I get 100+

Is this happening in all areas for you, or just from time to time? I have noticed over the last two days that I am getting a heck of a lot of stuttering/lag happening that was not happening before. So much so that I have to close the game and reopen it.

Sorry for my bad English.
I also had this kind of problem, I solved (at the time) by deleting my user setting.thx, disabling all addons, started the game with administrator privileges, closing the launcher and finally disabling the parking control of my cpu (windows 7 64). All this worked for me ..... so it happened last night playing for 3 hours.

It was, for me, an audio device problem...believe it or not. Audio?!?

In Device Manager, disable all but your primary audio controller. I kept my motherboard Realtek, and disabled NVidia audio.

My in game FPS on Ultra is now a solid 59 FPS.

I also reverted to an older graphics card driver (344.16) instead of the latest (344.75). This dropped my overall FPS down to around 60. I'm using Geforce GTX 970, but this didn't really help the stutter at first.

I will try to reinstall the 344.75 now and see about getting my FPS back up.

Also check to see if the addon Minimap is causing it. Transitioning from one map to another (like city to outside a city) will cause terrible stuttering with my minmap addon enabled. (could also be Harvestmap + minimap together but I haven't tested this)
