the voice selection in the character creator is kinda vague sometimes when giving us hints on how we'll sound i'd love to see an option to toggle on or off our characters own voice rather than muting all voices in the game. At the moment the voice i chose for my pretty little breton sounds like an old lady with hemorrhoids trying to poop while constipated while she's in combat and getting hit. it sounded fine in the creator just not in game cute laugh decent emote sounds and cheers but yeah ear *** in combat i'd like to see either a option to reselect voice without re-rolling or the option to shut it off separately from the rest of the games dialogue voices.

I've asked for this quite a while ago, it seems we're not the only ones who want to mute the voice ;)

I don't play this character anymore, just because of the voice. It's an Altmer (female), and the voice couldn't sound any worse, especially since she's screaming like being stabbed just when jumping from a small rock or hill, constantly.

For my Bretons, I used Voice B, I find it very smooth and not annoying at all (in case you consider another Breton character, female) :)

Thank you for creating that horrible image in my head. lol

I agree it's kind of difficult to tell what they will really sound like with the random sounds from the button push. It would be nice if we could select what they are going to sound like. Maybe have a drop down with combat, laugh, cheer, horse-hiya, etc.

I've had the same thought. There's almost nothing more annoying than spending a considerable amount of time making the perfect character, with every little detail in place, and the moment you enter combat for the first time it sounds like an angry troll instead of a princess, or an old woman instead of a mighty orc :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

(When this happened to me (back at launch with my very first character), I didn't know you could mute voices, so I ended up spending time on creating a whole new character, because I couldn't stand hearing my character moan and grunt!)

My Imperial sounds like a beast in battle and even while falling from cliffs. When he rides his horse he gains a woman's voice. ;) Interesting, no?

i'd rather see them take a page from defiance mmo the voices your character uses can be selected from the options menu and changed whenever. so your character and sound how they look even when you change looks from a baddass to a average joe.

Agreed. I don't want to put the voice actors down, but most of the voice options are just terrible. A lot of the voices sound like they came straight out of baldur's gate. I don't think they were told that they were voicing khajiit or argonians, either.

I'm hoping that they offer a make-over option at some point including sounds.
