The reason the patch sizes, even minor ones, are so large is because Zenimax simply lacks the ability or know-how to insert changed code and files into the existing file structure. Every other MMO knows how to patch correctly.

For example, if it was reported to Zenimax that a certain NPC's dialog was wrong, and it was only 2kb of text, but it was inside a 14GB file, you would have to download that entire 14GB file just to fix a single sentence that an NPC said.

Will 1.6 be in petabytes? All joking aside..I got 30 gig left on my main SSD and still have 5 gig left on this patch to get yet. I would like to use that drive for other stuff. Its beyond ridiculous.
