Just so everyone knows, this is just what I want, No ZoS member has said anything about this and I thought it would be a cool suggestion.
So, I don't know if anyone else is fairly excited for the new class specific armor sets coming in the future, But I am.
I want them to be unique, not just:
2 set: increase max health
3 set: increase magicka recovery
4 set: increase spell power
5 set: reduce the cost of magicka abilities by X
That's just boring and is like a lot of other sets already in the game, instead I would like something more unique, and brings a whole new level to combat. Instead I would like to infuse class a class ability with your armor.
Now, what do I mean by infusing a class ability to armor? Well, I'm talking about unlocking the 'true potential of an ability'. To make it simple is you select one ability to overcharge it, which will grant both morphs to an ability. I'll use the ability Veiled Strike from the Shadow tree in Nightblade.
You can morph veiled strike to either lower enemy armor by 40% or increases your movement speed while stealth.
If you infuse Veiled strike into the class armor, it will do: Reduce enemy armor by 40% and increase your movement speed while in stealth
I feel that if you could overcharge an ability like that it will make more distinct and unique builds, especially for the many people that really work or focus on one ability or the people who have no idea which morph they want for an ability because they could heavily benefit from both morphs.
How would you infuse abilities to armor and would you be able to swap them out?
I thought it could be added into spell crafting, because it seems like it would help fit into it, but I thought of something that seems like it would be better. Which would be creating 'class masters' in the endgame cities (i.e reapers march, The Rift, and Bangkorai (idk if that last zone in DC, sorry DC!))
What exactly would class masters do? Well they would allow you to infuse your ability to class armor, swap the ability that is infused to it, and could give you daily quests that could give you a form of currency to buy the type of armor you want from the master (or it could be a reward or crafted if people would be up in arms about a third form of currency).
Just one of my thoughts for the day~ thanks for reading!
