Is that really big problem to include information, what item was sold and in which guild?

Yes, UI is fine and we don't need any more things added to it. It would clutter my screen and ruin immersion. Even if I could toggle it off, I don't wan't developers to use their time on this. That is why we have addons. Let the addon developers do this for free. We all love the minimalist ui that gives no information whatsoever. Go back to WoW if you want immersion ruining UI

Shopkeeper is a fabulous addon that will do this for you.

That being said, I agree that this feature as well as several other basic features should be included in the default UI.

Updating or using 10 or more addons every time there is a patch just because I want basic UI features is getting a bit tiresome.

Yes, item sold and in who shop/ guild.

Apparently so. Many of us have been asking and asking and pleading for this small feature since game launch. No response. Instead, a couple of updates ago, ZOS launched a feature that forces us to press an extra key to delete the sold mail that tells us nothing after we take the gold attachment.

I'm wary about asking for shiny new features anymore.

One way you can attempt to procure this information is to go to HISTORY tab of your guild(s) and look under Sales. If you're lucky, and you logged in in time, you might see the transaction.

@Govalon, might consider easing up just a touch. Doesn't need to be in the UI. Programmatically, it would be as simple as adding the information to the ITEM SOLD email in the body of the email.

You keep your UI that 'everyone loves' and everyone (truly) gets to see WTH is selling and what isn't.

In regard to development time, this would be a very simple addition that would take minimal development time. The information is already produced for the Guild history, as indicated above - just add the same to the email.

I'd like Dev's to spend some of their time on things beneficial to all. This is one such example.

I'd like those free-developing add-on makers (thank you all, btw - and don't forget you can donate to them so they don't have to do it for free.) to be able to spend more time playing (or getting hired by ZoS) than having to correct things that should have been there in the first place.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

I think that it can't be included into addons, because such information must be exposed by eso api, so it depends on eso devs, not 3rd party devs. For now the only possibility is searching in guild sales history, as mentioned above.

I love the min UI, but some small areas in it can be tweak still. Like this idea. I do not want my screen clutter, but sold mail message is in a menu system so it will not do that.

The other option that the mail system needs is a reply button. A history of sent mails will be cool also. Besides theses two aspects, I really have any thing complain about the UI.

The guild where I sell my stuff is quite active and has a sale history of around 2 hours. I miss most of that information and even when I log in inside the 2 hour window it takes a while to locate my sale in the list.
More info in the ingame message or a dedicated window for personal sales would really help.

I have to agree on this. It really irks me when i don't know what it was and in what guild.
  • axiomaticb14a_ESO
Agreed. This is such a glaringly obvious oversight given how crucial the information is to the act of selling.

I won't assume to know how easy it is to implement, but the data is certainly already there, and it needs to be part of the mail you receive when an item has sold.

I have taken to pricing things a certain way in order to try and figure out what sold. Mats are one price, set pieces are another price etc. However, this does not tell me what guild sold it.

There has been a new thread on this issue saying the exact same things (though sometimes from different people) at least once a month every month for the past six months but I'm too lazy to find and link them all. I don't believe a single one received official acknowledgment.

Maybe the 7th time's the charm.

I feel like the whole mail system needs work. There was a thread a while back about how you don't receive mail right away after purchasing an item from the guild store.. have to log off/on or port to a wayshrine. ZoS did acknowledge that but didn't really say whether it's going to be fixed or not. Oh yeah I started that one: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/137442/delays-while-receiving-in-game-mail-guild-store-and-other#latest

I play for immersion... how is it immersion breaking if you get a letter with some gold attached that tells you "Hey, we sold this for you in the guild store." Do you think back in the day, if you were away on a visit to another city and your wife sent some gold to you with a letter, or the owner of the shop who sold the item for you, sent some gold to you, that they wouldn't tell you WHAT they had sold?

It's totally stupid. Luckily there is a great addon that tracks sales and even aggregates totals from all or individual guilds. It tells you how much of your sales are from vendors too. It's a must have.

I'm a fan of the minimal UI as well. I use 3 basic addons that don't do much. There's lots of room for improving the mail system without imposing on the stock UI.

This has nothing to do with changing the UI. All we need is the mail message to include extra text that states what was sold from what guild store.

I would love to see them make the change but I am sure that if the change is made it will somehow cause stealth to break during weapon swapping.

F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery.
