LOl...So how do NB's kill DK's when they are not on a horse?

Stamina build. DK with Shield just blocks all my attacks...spams reflect...cant win. Any suggestions? Pretty sure im just SOL

Orrrrr... gasp, this is radical thinking I know, heal debuff, snare, kiting, sneak attack, dark cloak, or even avoid a fight if someone is specifically built in a hard counter to your own setup? Any of these would be better than coming here to complain about how your random mashup build can't kill someone who made a real one.

You'll have to change your build. DKs are the most powerful class in the game and have been since launch. Just wait when (if) they get nerfed. You imagine the QQ threads that will pop up if DK isn't on top of DPS and Tanking? That is all it will be on the forum.

Wrong, and dragonknights have seen nerfs almost every patch including minor patches since beta . At this point in time class balance is pretty close overall though.

Another one of these threads? FFS. You people should spend more time playing, and less time crying. It will do your gimped NB a world of good once you've refined his build, and your eyes won't look so swollen and puffy from all the bawling.

Please please dont tell him fear is the cure, if dk has immovable hes just wasted tons of magica and is now at close range about to die. If he doesnt have immovable on, well, they Haven,t fixed blocking whilst feared yet so...... wtf's the point!.

I beat dk's all the time. Shades + sword and board yourself. Force him to keep reflect up that's great. It costs more to cast than swallow soul and will lower his magica so he cant cast GDB so many times when the time comes. Ult charged ambush ult swallow soul. No damage done - ok he still has stamina back off repeat your in for the long haul. But nb's have siphoning strikes:) - so actually we do the longhaul best.

Seriously though why did they nerf sneak attack damage. That really was an unnecessary nerf to NB's. If they nerfed fire damage by the amount they just nerfed sneak damage there would be all hell breaking loose. But since there r only a small % of pvp nb's left due to us being so underpowered we cant make as much noise.

What I recommend that hasn't already been mentioned is playing each class. NB is extremely reliant on L2P, far beyond what the other classes require if you want to do more than just sneak by enemies.

After playing each class, I have a much better insight as to how they work as well as their "tell signs".

Once you understand what is going on in the fight, prepare in advance. You need to set up your bar so that you are prepared for anything in order to be a successful NB in Cyrodiil (and even some solo VR PVE content). Sure you can go the one trick pony route, but if that's the case then don't complain when it only gets you so far.

FYI, I don't have any problems with any of the classes but a few suggestions here can work. Shades are good for wearing down stamina and fear can be a major game changer whether people can block during it or not. Start with some of the suggestions already listed here and try them out. Also, work on some alts if you don't mind that sort of thing so that you can at least get a feel for the other classes and understand how their best abilities work.

there are lot NBs. Just they are light armor staff and shielders, just like zos want em to be. Its a shame, but they want it that way.

This is not elder scrolls game, its world of mages and aoe online.

Play as you want, riiiight. Just they will nerf stealth, because zos su*censored*.

Its simple, but some gear makes DK awesome. And most these tanks are light armor users, since its logical, that ppl tank n spam better in LA right? Ok... Its zoslogic.

What I do as a bow build is fear and hope cloak works and run away till five more people come to help. Then I see him flappy flappy and I count to 3 and hit snipe 1 sec before his op reflect is up again. Then execute execute execute.
If that doesn't work I come to forum and complain. That last part is "true story".

I run a magicka NB myself and the only issue I normally have with DKs is killing them before 20 of his mates turn up cause the fights usually take a while. I have to lure them behind a hill or something.

But with DW, with I assume stacked stamina, you should be doing some heavy damage to a LA wearing DK. Rapid strikes depletes their stamina fast if they're blocking, your Aoe (tornado?) for damage through block and stam regen, and sparks to negate their damage. Don't worry too much about rolling out of talons. Would help if you had a resto as second weapon though. Fear comes good when you know they're low on stam, then soul tether when they're about half health (unblockable) and finish with impale. I think I used to run with an armour debuff on one weapon and disease on the other.

DK's are overpowered in PvP and have been from the start. ZOS however, is intent on nerfing other classes and their skill lines. There would be a better balance in PvP combat if ZOS took a look at the DK skills and did some changes. But at this point it does not matter to me I am just running out my subscription with no intent to renew.

A lot of these ideas and variations will work on most DKs because a lot really can't play well and rely on it being easy to build a durable tanky DK with minimum effort for maximum results. You still have to be careful as these guys are like todlers with super powers, no finesse but a lucky hit or two will kill you just as quick. But equally once you start beating their build they will struggle to survive as they cannot adapt.

Contrast that with the skilled DK who doesn't just run the cookie bar build, if you meet them then you will struggle even with these tactics as they will know how to adjust their style.

no no no, EVERY DK will tell you that if it is being reflected it is because it is MEANT TO BE! I asked questions about crushing shock being reflected since it is a beam and not a projectile, and holy crap did I open up a can of "STOP CRYING FOR THEM TO NERF US" response lol all I wanted was for crushing shock and 3 other skills to stop being reflected since they are NOT projectiles lol good luck though! DK's have seen a few nerfs and are still the most OP class.

Dont nerf the poor babies, buff everyone else and give us working skills, and skills to NOT reflect when they are clearly not a projectile

There is more to it if you don't wanna get bored and sometimes this maybe all they see in death recap from me, but I get way more tactical then the death recap shows and I don't care much what they think about how I kill them unless they get really irritated and then I'm happy... =P
