A few questions

Hi All,

I have a few questions that I have not been able to find answers for.

1) I have multiple characters and one of them I have used my skill points on provisioning and have maxed out provisioning to 50. Am I losing something by having him continue to do the provisioning? I have him as I think three at once on food.
Or should I work on others to move them. I was trying to use my skill points effectively. So I have one doing food and drink and using skill points for my other characters on other things.

2) I can't seem to find a standard answer to a glyph losing its value when I enchant somethings but other times not? What gives? I read about not the major weapon on one answer, I don't get it.

Thanks in Advance

    1. Well, it's a bit of a waste for him to create anything that isn't 3-attribute food unless you're just making stuff for fast gold.
    2. Helm, chest and legs all get the full value of an armor glyph. Other pieces of armor take a reduced amount.

Shields get 100% glyph enchanting value too.

Thanks for the responses. Nerevarine, can you expand on your comment about the provisioning?

He is wrong anyways so dw. Some people use 2 atri food because it gives more points for 2 then the 3 does for those SAID two.

SO a build that does not use stamina should use a sweetroll for example..

I've never seen anyone using 2-attribute food, because most builds benefit more from the increased stamina for sprinting/roll-dodging as well as the 2-hour buff over the 1-hour. But I'm sure some people do like the 2-buff food. To each their own.

The main point, OP, is that your provisioner character doesn't need to worry about making most green and blue food, and they certainly don't need to worry about making green and blue drinks. Once you hit level 50, those foods don't serve much purpose.

But to answer your initial question more specifically, no. You do not lose anything by having that character continue to do provisioning. In fact, it makes very little sense to dedicate other characters to that craft when you have a character that's already maxed out.

I use Fortified Sweetrolls as a sorc, stamina is not ever a problem for me in PvE.

In Cyrodiil however the purple food is much better because stamina is important for everyone there.

Note that this has changed in a recent patch. Purple food now gives more to each attribute than blue does to the two it affects.

There is one reason you might want to consider imroving provisioning on alts: there is a passive skill in provisioning that adds duration to food buffs. At 3/3, it adds 20 minutes duration. With it you will consume less food over time.
