How do YOU make your ESO money?

Hey all, so I recently spent a lot of money, had around 260k and spend ALOT of it within a day of general supplies and so on.
Am thinking how to make money now, for my routines of old do not work, such as farming Motif's and so on (If you're able to do this, enlighten me)

So, how do you make money in ESO?

Well, for the last ten years I've been running a consulting business, and flying around a lot...

Oh, wait, you mean in the game.

Out of five active characters, my main is my crafting character. He deconstructs all his drops and gathers a lot of raw materials in his goings-about. I use my main to make apparel, armor, weapons, etc. for all my alts.

Another one is my provisioning/alchemy/enchanting alt. As above.

My other three alts sell every drop they get. The two crafting alts sell all dropped/found materials outside their specialties.

With that, I'm doing tolerably well. Have about a quarter-mill in the bank, all characters pretty well kitted out, and my main is only a VR5.

Ah nice, sounds decent, I only got 120k at the moment and it can go quick sometimes so I know I gotta get more, gonna try farming DC Bank for the Rare Motifs, the Purple Recipe's aren't worth a lot anymore and they're mainly what drops... Any idea where Daedric Motifs drop these days guys?

kill and sell everything..pretty easy to make 30k in a couple hours. Can always farm dwemer ruins for the motifs but that market is starting to dry up so won't be viable much longer.

Yeah been doing that Jagath :) Your are not wrong about the market drying up, that's very true. Feels slow farming them and even slower selling the Pages haha.

Alchemy is pretty easy to level and making potions can get you like 10k a stack. IF you farm for your own mats its all profit.

I craft. I've made 20k in half an hour just by crafting gear.

I've all but given up crafting things for people. If its a guild mate I don't mind but half the time its more trouble than its worth. By the time you get all the info/mats (if theirs) from the player and actually craft the item(s) its been 10-15mins. Thats if they even still buy it and don't try to re-negotiate the price at the end. I've been burned a few times with upgrades as well. Hopefully Im just jaded and this isn't the case for most other crafters.

I haven't had those issues. I usually negotiate price up-front, get specifics about what they need and craft it as soon as the details are laid down in order to avoid any last-minute changes of mind.

If the player is sending you their mats, just make them send the details of the order in the same mail. Saves time and makes sure they can't claim they thought something was different.

Thats the part that irritates me the most. This all occurs after the price is negotiated and you ask them all the relevant questions (style/level/set etc.)

Some people will then try and renegotiate a price after they know you have made it thinking you will give a discount rather than get stuck with it.

As for the delay that is as much a product of the mail system as anything else.

Been farming Daedric and AE motifs for bout 6 months now. It takes a lot of patients. You need to develop a certain skill and tolerance to do it. For example I can watch Netflix on my desktop while farming on my laptop, since I've done it so many times I rarely have to look at the laptop screen. Epic recipes and rare style mats are good side cash too. My money just accumulates since I rarely spend it. Just broke 7m last Friday.

Fake, yes. Useless, well not really but sorta. Making money has become some weird endgame obsession.
