Missing Quests? Fine but what are they?!?!?

I am trying to get the quest achievement in Rivenspire and I am aware that I have 8 available quests left (I only need 3 more). How can I find out where these quests are or the name of them?

I have ridden my horse around every single area in Rivenspire and can find nothing.

There is a very simple (not an insult) addon called QuestLurker and I see the code that pulls the number of quests I have left but is there a Lib or API I can use to find out the names of these quests? or where they are?

I don't want to spend another night running around (I have don two FULLL runs so far) a low level area trying to find 3 more quests to finish this achievement :-)

Sadly I think that goal of getting the Achievement is impossible.

I rode my horse over every single last bit of land and could find nothing.

I tried to scan the quests by modifying the code in QuestLurker but I get nowhere.

How can you have achievements and then not give us a way to ACTUALLY finish them? I don't care if it's just subtle hints, give me something, anything.

But, I'll just give up and move on. I also will not try to do another quest achievement ever again.

I hope someone sees this and realizes its an big issue. Imagine if your writ rewards didn't give you map?? That is exactly what it's like.

No new title for me unless they change something.

This is a sad oversight.

I am just trying to think of some easily missed quests in Rivenspire that you may have missed out on:

    - Down by the dolmen in the south of the map (Westmark Moor Dolmen iirc) there is a mage by a tent that you can kill, when you loot his body that gives you a quest (there is no quest marker, you have to find him by yourself)
    - Rescue quest West (possibly NW? Not sure! It is very near Aesar's Web world boss) of the refugee camp, you can't see the marker from the camp
    - Side quest IN the camp, once you have completed the faction quest part there
    - Quest chain involving spies in Shornhelm, given by the Khajiit vampire, I think after you complete Moira's Hope (I think I picked up the first quest in the chain just outside the village, but I think it's 2 or 3 quests in total)
    - The Emerald Chalice - a Lady Laurent/Stibbons quest, in the North of the map, a bit West from Northpoint (EDIT - it is southwest of the city, actually Boralis wayshrine is nearer, head NW from there).
    - After you have liberated Northpoint there is a quest in the city to deal with some enemies holed-up in houses
    - A couple of quests can be picked up between Northpoint and Doomcrag - one involves finding a breton's missing boots, and the other is on the coast west of that and you have to kill a vampire and pick up the quest when you loot his body, you won't be given the quest before then and there is no quest marker.
    - Kaleen/Nicolene quest picked up in the tavern in Shornhelm
    - Quest at Edrald's Estate south of Northpoint, I don't think you can see the quest marker from the road, you have to head towards the buildings before the quest-giver runs up to you.
    - Also as usual several fedex type quests in the delves.

    I hope that helps!

There is an addon called 'Undiscovered' I think. It'll show all zone markers even if you haven't visited them yet. Though it doesn't have any quest markers so it won't show any quests that have popped up after the fact (as occasionally this happens after turning markers white).

    You're welcome!
There are enough quests in Rivenspire to get the achievement, but some of them are a bit off the beaten track and some of them can only be picked up by looting a corpse, and there is no quest marker until the NPC is dead.

Just thought of another one which is a PITA to find - just outside Hoarfrost Downs there is a quest given by a small tree, from Hoarfrost Downs wayshrine head through town past the blacksmith (if you already did the quest in that area, there is a jeweler in that area who you might have spoken to when you were trying to recruit the lovelorn breton in the quest "The Lover", the path starts right behind the jeweler) and then take a small path that goes up the hill behind the crafting area. Watch out for the named (but not world boss) troll at the top of that hill, you can avoid him to do the quest if you don't want to fight him.

Oh and also Silverhoof Vale in the SW of the map, it is very easy to run past and not even realise there is a settlement, let alone pick up the quest there (it's harpies and the merc group that you helped in Glenumbra)

Rivenspire is pretty much "the zone of hidden quests" :D

I tried that and I also use destinations that does the same but a little more and neither helped.

    Thanks for the reply though.

At one point there was a bug that didn't count the Rivenspire quests. It sounds very familiar to your issue. It's been quite a while but seems like a bunch of folks were 8 quests short of the achievement and we couldn't find any other quest markers. It's just possible that the bug is back with the new patch. Maybe you should search the old threads for this and maybe do a bug report or other customer support help.

That was Shadowfen (unless there was an identical thread on Rivenspire), and that was corrected long ago.

The issue here isn't with the achievement; the OP is just missing some of the harder-to-find quests in the zone.

LOL, here's the start of this thread:
"I am trying to get the quest achievement in Rivenspire and I am aware that I have 8 available quests left (I only need 3 more). How can I find out where these quests are or the name of them?"

Uhh, I think he is looking for achievement, that's what he said. Maybe you know better. The Shadowfen bug you mentioned maybe the same as Rivenspire bug I referred to. That was pre-Vet play for me, and many months ago. I was only watching DC bugs at that time, Just because it was fixed back then does not mean they didn't break it again. This is ZOS we're talking about here. I don't want to get in a shouting match with you, but you completely misrepresented my post.

Your post said that this may be a bug. Which is completely the opposite of what the OP said (he knows there are more quests in the zone, just doesn't know where they are). I wasn't aware Rivenspire had the same issue as Shadowfen back in the day, but it's a moot point because the OP does not describe a bug.

Nope, he didn't say it was a bug. And back when I couldn't find quests in Rivenspire, I didn't know there was a bug at fault, nor did a lot of other posters with same issue. He's gotten some good leads, and hopefully will be able to find the quests and get his achievement. But in case he really can't find anymore quests, now he knows that this has happened before due to a bug. And if he really can't find more quests, the bug is a real possibility. Like I said, this is ZOS we're dealing with, and their track record with bugs is NOT exemplary.

LOL, the 'official' response boils down to "we recognize there is a problem, and we created a way to address it if someone writes an add-on for it". This is helpful only if someone writes an add-on, and then it helps only those who use the add-on, even though the problem affects everyone.

This points out how weak the UI is, how ZOS encourages the use of add-ons rather than fix the UI. I'd actually be okay with being encouraged to use add-ons, except ZOS does not officially support add-ons. So when the game breaks, the first thing Support asks is 'are you using add-ons, turn them off".

    Ok big picture time.

Let them concentrate on content. I'll write addons.

We have a very low population at ESO - lets try to keep from going under or going F2P.

WOW went up to 10 million with the last expansion - and we became a ghost town.

I'm fine if they all concentrate on content and keep this great game alive!
