Boss Heads one of the best things added to the game!

The undaunted pledges and boss heads have to be one of the best things added to the game. Our team has had a ball running dungeons every evening that we can.

I know you get a lot of flack for every mistake, but you do a lot of stuff right as well.

Question!!!!!
Till now i've managed to collect tree type of shoulders from those sets i do now where the heads are suppost to drop but they drop only if you do the hardmode or even in the normal?
Normally i do dungeons with my guild but they are not very interested on this drops so i need to study a little on where activate the hm in the dungeon (i saw that in the city of ash is a little bit hidden... Done btw but no drop) ......
So.... I need to do the hm or not?

Shoulders to these sets only come from Golden Key chests, the Helms only come from one boss per veteran dungeon. (farm-able)

I have three helm sets so far, but trying to work out which have the glow effect. Cause even tho I know which I want for the best set bonus, the look on some is way better!

Edit : Looks likes the helm I want is from Vet City of Ash last boss.... he hurts!

You can also gets Helms from the chests. Get 2 of them with a gold key;-)

Wha... not so sure about that. We've probably been through more gold keys than anyone and never gotten a head from a chest.

The only helm I have got from a chest is the part of the 5 piece undaunted set, which is nothing to do with the 2 piece monster helm set. Are you 100% sure you got one of the monster helms from the chest? Cause there has been two dev posts saying they only drop of a boss in a vet dungeon.

It's always good to have many different gear with special effects to choose from, adds options in the game, some wich can be really interesting. I support rare bonuses from gear.

Wish I could comment on that, but ESO rng still hates me with passion. After doing every single vet pledge hardmode, a lot of them several times(ran at least 10+ Sewers and DC), I still have 0 heads. At this point I'm getting a feeling they just don't exist and all of ESO is just screwing with me>.>

Meanwhile, I have 3 shoulders, 2 of them even the armor type and trait I could use. If I ever manage to get the heads that is...

Finally got my engine guardian head. What a fun set! Great work, ZOS - keep unique stuff like this coming.

@magdalina - my guildy in same boat. Not one head dropped for him in 50 or so dungeons now. We're just hoping he has bad luck with RNG and not some kind of crazy secret luck stat.

Well, I got my first head today. Bloodspawn's mask...twice. In MEDIUM both times. This is seriously ridiculous. How possible is it for rng to give me nothing for 40 or so runs, then give me same mask in 2 runs right after another in SAME armor with SAME trait...the only type of armor I'll never use?

I read a while back when purple recipes were super rare that a group of people went farming, one dude got a collection of recipes while others got motifs. It doesn't really matter "exactly" what they got, the point is that some how some can get certain stuff for drops and others get different. I wasn't sure to believe that post back then but it may be starting to seem true.

A token system would be better, where instead of a golden key, you got 3 tokens (2 for silver and 1 for bronze)

And the helms & shoulders were brought with the tokens. So X pledges = 100% chance of the helm\shoulders you want. Random luck..... sucks. 25 tokens for the exact helm you want would be fine. (you could also have a random chance of the helm dropping but with tokens you know you will get the set you want after X days

eh, I like the system as they have it. No fan of the token thing.

My problem with tokens is that it pushes you close to being locked out of loot for a day/week. I like the current system where the coffers, and keys are like extra loot. You do have to run keys to get the shoulders, but you can farm the head pieces.

I hate them. I realy hate the fact, that you cant alter their looks. Even with imperial edition.

Most dropped sets behave this way. The only one I can think of that doesn't is the craglorn sets such as martial knowledge (this may have changed, but last I looked you could convert them).

only thing we need now is some sort of gear conversion so we can combine stats/sets with looks the way we want, since the motto still is play the way you want ...
