The quote from Tolkien is:

“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.” - Faramir

Is Lyris Titanborn a LotR fan?

Someone is. :) Old Tolkers went over the top at the Somme. He knew whereof he spoke...

I suppose she could be. But the idea that a person is more fond of that which they are fighting for is more important than the tools they use to do it is not uncommon.

There's a bit more there than that. Faramir says he does not love, not that he prefers. Many love the arrow for its sharpness. I don't think you've taken in all that Tolkien is saying. And although I think I see more there than you do, I strongly suspect that I don't either.

To compare anything in this game to Tolkien's work is a gross injustice to Tolkien..
Disabling the grass may improve performance.

So now it's an argument of syntax? Love, prefers, who cares... it's a common theme.

I strongly suspect I don't understand anything you just said.

Almalexia: "May this lantern provide you light in even the darkest situations."

A few more of these tributes and I'll start calling them rip-offs.

Hey .. do not blaspheme the holy name of Almalexia, she's a goddess ... I go into a trance every time I get to stand in front of her ... GODDESS! You got that?
