Loss of Veteran XP Points since 1.5.4 Patch

I though something was fishy but didn't write down my XP totals so I was not sure. After the patch update I had 1,114,135 Veteran XP points. Playing the game for a while I did one undawnted pledge and a few other things and my XP had increased to 1,127,498. I wrote down that figure. I went to Cyrodiil and completed several Bounty Quests. I happened to look at my Veteran XP figure. It had dropped to 1,124,576. I am a VR14 so the points should just be accumulating. If I am going to be loosing XP then what is the sense of playing this game? Don't understand why the loss in XP . Can someone explain what is going on.
Update since original entry.
Logged back into the game and my total XP had dropped to 1,114,135 which is what I started out with today.

Madamova✭✭✭Similar issue here, I think... Before the last patch my exp bar was half filled (I'm Vet rank 4). After the patch I've noticed it was almost empty. Sorry, I didn't keep the record of how many points I had. Just judging by the visual - but the difference is pretty noticeable. Something is not quite right...1 -
boggie✭✭✭Don't know about the OP's situation, but in regards to the second post, the visual is currently bugged. They've already said that it is a UI bug only (it shows that you need 4 mil xp when in reality you only need 1 mil). Only the UI is affected though. Your character will still rank up at 1 million xp.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I wasn't aware that the game now tracked XP earned after VR14 on your character's bar. Is this an addon? Or are you using the default UI?----
