    People want to kill people. Taking keeps gives points and determines winners of campaigns and are used as a catalyst, or reward, to give people a reason to fight others. Thus, we have a game where strategy and skill come together to spark the enjoyment of pvp. It isn't mindless killing. It has a purpose.

    I don't care, I kill people who are there, irrelevant of the circumstances. Sure the campaigns are fun, but I'm really just there to fight others.

    Should point out though, I do make an effort to help the campaign efforts all the same.

    I like defending keeps and scrolls. I like building up the idea that I own something, and very bad people are trying to steal it from me. "Those are MY scrolls, that is MY castle, leave my things alone!"

    I also really enjoy the strange interactions you can have with your enemies. Once I was at Nikel, and I wanted to die. I was tired, needed to turn in my quests, and wanted outta there asap. I walked up to a DC lady and waved to get her attention. I expected she'd turn around startled and instinctively attack me. Instead, she turned around and waved back. We enjoyed a few moments of unspoken communication before one of my "allies" shot her in chest with an arrow! I was stunned and couldn't react. I just stood there as my brother in arms murdered my new friend. When the reality of what had just happened hit me, I began to sob. Slowly, I buried her, and prayed for her soul. I hope she has found peace.

    Correct.

    Though I would say, a form of reward is also social recognition and/or self acknowledgement.

    In other words, other people thinks you're a badass and/or you've satisfied your own personal goal (to be the best).

    I want to kill people. That's why i go to PvP, but i don't want death match that forward camps gave us. I want every kill i make and every death to make a difference. I am in two minds right now, i am not liking the complete removal of camps due to night time battles being so few and almost dead on EU. Yet i am loving that when i see enemy players die on a keep they have a nice long ride back which takes them out of the fight for a few minutes rather than them spawning right back into the keep.

    Don't get me wrong, EU still has many camps left, so it's not pure yet. I want a middle ground, i want camps back but very limited. Only players in the radius to be able to spawn at them and each player gets one spawn with the camp it's self only having 20 spawns.

    This will stop bloodporting just like removing them has, but also keep fights going a little longer. Right now we have a ping pong situation, where on EU, DC will attack Bleakers/Chalman and wipe. Then EP will attack Bleakers/Alesswell and wipe. Same situation down at ash and Nikel against AD.

    The only time you break through is when two alliances attack one.
