10-20 in Rivenspire sounds ok for what I have been seeing, acutally it seems like more than what I am used to seeing.
As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

I've spent the last few hours playing around Daggerfall on the EU server... it was packed with people! Don't know about the "higher level" regions, but the starter areas are busy.

Course there are a lot of people in starter areas, think about it. Veteran experience is all messed up? Level a lower level character. That's what I'm doing in game. xD

Yes. They are currently all running around in Dwemer ruins for some reason.

No OP, not one single person is left. If you did see anyone it's likely to be a developer playing "pretend". If that reads like a dumb answer, read the question again.

The population has been, in my very subjective opinion, stable for the last 3 months or so.

It's very sparse compared to launch but you'd expect that. I think we've hit the flatline now. Hopefully it's sustainable.

Indeed, I have walked right back out of a few now, far too crowded.

Plenty of people are still playing. And "allot" isn't a word. "A lot" is two words.

Point conceded - but that's not the word that was used.

Has been plenty of people in lower areas a long time, probably more as many using the VR xp bug as an opportunity to make an alt.

More people doing dungeons because of the undaunted quests, fewer doing pvp, because of the lack of forward camps as it was no queue like its always was on Saturday decent of action.
    Lots of people farming dwemer.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I'm VR7 and I still see hundreds of people on any given play session, I am amazed actually that normal questing areas still have so many people, in games like WoW, GW2 and Wildstar those types of areas died out completely.

I also seriously doubt that fewer people are doing pvp, the vast majority of players all applaud the change to forward camps. The change turned Cyrodil much more into the place it was designed to be, rather than a fantasy arena shooter where dying doesn't matter. Cyrodil became much more tactical instead of a place where people run single handedly into groups of 15 others.

I expect the coming Cyrodil city addition will cater to those who don't like the camp change, since that area will likely be much smaller than Cyrodil country, so you won't have to ride as long and you won't have to be tactical.

Then after a week they came back lol.

    Edit:
I should be nicer to Wildstar. I do kind of feel bad for them.

10-20 on each map, that means 200-300 in the whole game, now that's a helluva lot. :#

Not entirely correct about GW2. The Living Story Part II is running there now and I can assure you last night was anything but empty. On the other hand, I just came from a Veteran zone in ESO where I saw 3 players in total and chat was quiet the 2 hours I was in.

Normal matures/teenagers/kids working/studying at that time normally, thats why you don't see them, try at evening, before that read some books.
