Is anyone using Carve after the nerf? Is it still worth using now or is the other morph better or maybe just another skill entirely now? I liked Carve before because of the ultimate gain but not sure it's worth it now.

Depends on class and personal preference. For NB I'd go Carve, gotta keep VoB up, for Sorc I'd choose Brawler since no sap essence or veil and I don't always crit.

    Will repeat here too.
Have someone tested if cleave bleed stacks with heavy weapons passive axe bleed?

I don 't anymore. Used to use it for ultimate (and post-patch is still good), and tried brawler and in heavy aoe scenario, it's a decent little damage shield.

but essentially, this is your only AoE skill... and I'd rather use another skill for AoE. I put on caltrops for PvP and Fire breath for PvE.

I myself will likely replace the ability with momentum once I unlock it. Cleave(or whatever morph you prefer if you are using a morph) just does so little damage...... the extra ultimate and the little damage shield is nice... but its damage is outright pitiful.

there are FAR better AOEs out there

I still run Carve for my Carve/Sap Essence/Veil of Blades NB AoE build. The ult gen is still pretty monstrous with that combo, can put up veils 5 or so seconds before the last one expires with enough targets rounded up.

As to whether one should use it or Brawler, guess it depends on build and context. Brawler has no place as a DPS in PvE, although there aren't many 2h users there. Likewise, the 2 ult gen per hit might not be worth it in PvP to classes that don't have ults which compliment 2h so well.

Depends on context, class, and build.
    Will repeat here too.

As to this question, it does. I don't see why two separate bleed mechanics would cancel each other out.

I use a 2h axe and Carve and love the ult gen because I see both my axe bleed and Carve bleed critting at once.

Thanks for answer. Will change sword for axe as I have caps in weapon damage without 5% sword bonus.

Well, you're kind of misinterpreting how the sword bonus works. It doesn't affect your weapon damage.

How the 5% gets calculated is, say you go up to an enemy, and use a wrecking blow. That wrecking blow hits for 500 damage. With the sword bonus that 500 turns into 525.

Also affects magical damage too, damage that doesn't come from your 2h gets the damage increase, which is an exceedingly powerful characteristic to have.

If your build is really hurting on ult gen particularly, then axe is an ok option, but sword is vastly superior for sheer average damage output.

I use axe for aesthetic reasons, the fact that it helps slightly with ult regen is just a bit of compensation for the damage loss. Not as much as I'd like ;)

Isn't Reverse Slice an aoe skill now as well? A more damaging one I'd reckon.

Yeah, I been using that instead of carve for now but it seems to have a very small range for hitting other mobs. It does decent dmg if you use it on a mob with low health near other mobs to maximize the bonus dmg effect.
