In terms of attributes and slotting skills, it it best to go all in when choosing to be a healer? Do I want a little bit of health if healing or magic/stamina when taking? Is it a good idea to slot in one damage skill to make things go faster during a not-big fight?
Is there a "tank weapon" other than sword and shield? Can Templars function as healers without resto staff?

Seeing as Dunmer have bonuses in both stamina and magic skill,s how should they split their attributes?

Well, for a healer it is kind of all or nothing, someone with one healing skill isn't a healer, you need at least two and the passives.

For Tanking Health is a primary issue, because you absorb damage, but you can't afford to skimp on magicka and stamina either, you want Magicka for abilities especially shields, and stamina for weapons and blocking. Some people say 2 health for every 1 magicka and 1 stamina, others say 3 health for 2 magicka and 1 stamina (or even 2 stamina and 1 magicka), but you have to find what works for you.

Almost any weapon can work for a tank, plenty go for two handed or bow, dual weild with sparks is not to be sneezed at either.

Templars have healing skill line, and are considered by a large portion to be the best healers, they can definately manage without restoration staff line, but probably work best with a combo.

Dunmer, it depends how much you are going to block and use weapons, everyone has different opinions, but I would go a slight lead on magicka, but not too much a few points maybe.
