Heavy farming or bots back?

I was gathering resources in the Rift this morning for a Writ. I was after shadowhide, and there are plenty of sabre cats and bears there for that material. However, there was very little voidstone or void blooms. I did not see any other players, but that doesn't mean someone wasn't harvesting ahead of me. However, multiple chests and runes were left. I use HarvestMap addon, so I knew where I should have seen those missing mats. Was I just seeing heavy harvesting to fill a Writ, or have others noticed a decrease in the nodes present?

    It's heavy harvesting, I'm guessing it will die down and return to normal in a week or so.

    I'm assuming this also, but it doesn't explain why chests and runes are being ignored. I would never bypass them, would you? I wondered if there is a bug causing nodes to not appear.

    People are focusing on the wrts they have, this is why they are ignoring the other stuff, once they get bored of these writs it'll go back to similar level (slightly higher but similar).

    Also I'm only going to do the ones I need, Provisioning I build up ok anyhow, same with blacksmithing/clothing and woodcraft, it's only alchemy and enchanting I need, and alchemy is bugged (my wormwood number isn't increasing).

    I have gotten a good haul of the Void materials in Craglorn just sticking to the roads or near them. I can get 40 to 60 of each type each lap of the map and avoid the mobs.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    It takes a stupid amount of Voidsteel, Voidcloth, and Nightwood to make the stuff needed for the higher level writs.

    Chances are you are seeing people farming the materials to either get enough, or replenish their stocks.
