Soft cap numbers?

I have almost almost 3000 points in hp .. Vr5 and number is showing white.. Tried to search for soft cap numbers but it's seems to be an elusive topic .. I don't use add ons , I would just like a soft cap chart per rank.. Does anyone know?

Find it hard to believe I have to install an add-on and that it's not written out somewhere.. Soft cap numbers are impossible to find without the add on I guess.. Soft Cap numbers in ESO the 9th wonder of the world.

Ha ha !! I shouldn't have to figure them out.. And I already have enough viruses from *** slowing my PC down. I don't need to be zipping all kinda files everywhere on my 20fps game.. It should be included in an official patch not a 3rd party add-on .. But that's ok I'll just assume that 3000 hp is close

It's understandable that at this point there are lots of people who weren't around while the UI, the addon API, and all that design philosophy was being discussed.

So permit me to fill you in. The design intent of the UI is that the information be present, and accessible via the API, but that only a minimal subset be part of the default UI. The softcap numbers, which are different for every level, are only accessible via addons. That's just a fact.

Now, you can certainly argue all you want about what should be accessible, but that doesn't change the fact that only an addon can display some things.

By the way, there's an addon manager called "Minion" that you might look into; it will take care of all the zipping for you, help you keep your addons up to date, and provide a way for you to communicate with the addon developers.

I use "Softcapinfo," which gives me the soft cap values, and, if I'm overcharged, by how much. Look here, where you can also find a link to Minion.

Your implication that addons pose a risk to your computer security, as far as I know, is unwarranted. I think if there were rogue addons out there pillaging people's computers we'd have heard about it by now.

But by all means, suit yourself. Since you can pretty much infer that information yourself through your own stats, you are showing that the design decision to limit the display to addons was the correct one.

For those of us who actually want the information (for instance, each stat has a softcap; it's handy to know, for instance, how close you are in a number of areas, like magicka recovery, armor, fire resistance... etc.), the solution is obvious.

one tell tale way of having a really good idea of if a file has a virus or not is ..reading any and all comments about said file. Now over on that addon I linked you can see all comments pertain to thank yous and other facts about the addon..most likely safe. (it is safe)

Like a poster said above Minion takes the trouble out of updating addons but if your not going to use many then dont bother as it is a 3rd party website and could be compromised. (I do use Minion and no viruses)

It is.

You are not getting a virus from a lua script. It's a simple interface to the exposed API which is designed to expose just the kind of data Softcapinfo uses. It's possible an addon, especially an out of date one, can cause some problems with your game. You can simply turn it off. Softcapinfo is wildly out of date but works just fine.

that's FTC w/scrolling combat text enabled. I love that addon, but actually disable that function. Instead, I prefer the design of CLS, both are on Minion. welcome to the wonderful world of addons, soon you'll wonder how you ever lived without them

They're not new. The softcap is the point at which adding to a stat produces diminishing returns. Use the search function, there are lots of good threads that explain this in detail.
