How should we be able to spot werewolves

It was brought up that werewolves are anonymous until they transform but vampires are always visible because of appearance. In that case what would you like to see implemented to correct this?

Suffice to say it already exists.

There shouldn't be a way to tell unless they are transformed. That's one of the benefits over vamps. If we had our WW passives active as humans/mer, then maybe some detection would be reasonable. As it stands, no detection please.

I recommend @ZOS: Make "Evil hunter" for WWs too (change: this ability marks vampires AND werewolves with patch 1.5 and not only vamps). This would be fairness to both specialities.

If Evil hunter is fair with this change is another question!

A skill you have to spend a skill point on and slot. In other words, you need to be actively looking for them and "trained" to spot them. The answer is NOT "Screw over werewolves like ZoS screwed over vampires and make them not only obvious but hideous to the point where a lot of people don't even want to play them." The answer IS: Make spotting werewolves a skill AND fix vampire appearance and make spotting vampires a special skill ALSO. Heck, I'm cool with a "monster spotter" skill that lets you see them both.

When they transform, that is the cue, that something isn't right. They don't need anything subtler. How can you miss a giant rampaging wolfman?

    *sigh*

I did post earlier in this thread that the passive, Skilled Tracker, is designed to allow Fighter's Guild abilities to affect Werewolves in the same way as Undead and Daedra.

Vampire passives and learned skills can be used at any time. Werewolf only when they're transformed. Sounds balanced to me.

Nope , it is not , vampire problems (which is fire) is an actual issue , not like the WW problem that the player can pretty much ignore and just get the perk of being a WW.

    Hehe ^^

Anyways, i think a new passive in the Fighters guild tree that makes all werewolves have an aura around them so you can easily detect them. It would be like "sensing" someone is werewolf... This could also work for vampires so that we dont have to be pale in stage 1 anymore.

Their need to kill NPCs to feed on regular basis (juste like in TES 2) .... would work very well with the new justice system and, bonus, it would even things for "ugly face we know what you are" vampires both on feeding needs and being hunted.

Disagree, fire vulnerability in PvE ( and some pvp) is a "are you bad and stand in red circles" check. The notion that an optional skill line (despite its drawbacks) is part of the min/max meta is luckily being fixed with these changes.

Also, perk of bring a werewolf? Besides character flavor there is no reason to be a werewolf for players concerned with any competitive builds - at least vampire will remain preferable for niche builds (which is how it should be for an optional skill line).

Luckily that is being changed as well - and while it probably still won't be as useful as the pure utility a player gets from the pool of class/weapon skills - it will at least be fun to have more than 2 skills on my hotbar after a transformation.

You shouldn't be able to spot werewolves unless, obviously, they are transformed.

In ESO lore, there is no reliable way to spot an un-transformed werewolf (that I am aware of, anyway).

I dont think any detection should be implemented. We are already weaker than normal humans while in human form since fighters guild stuff and poisons still hurt us more (regardless of what form we are in). We have no benefits in human form to compensate that, unlike vampires that have all of their spells and passives at all times.

You sure about that? The 50% weakness to poison shows up as a general debuff, not as a "while you're transformed" thing.

Oh, in a general response, I'd love to have unique titles to go with the Werewolf and Vampire achievements, indicating when you're a Werewolf, Werewolf Master, Vampire, or Vampire Master... if you choose.
